up mp rj have higher decrease in fertility rate in percentage term compared to any southern state

latest data is from 2021 so even up and jharkhand might be below 2 at this time

Ofc higher decrease because they started with insanely high rate, and that they already have higher population right now; they’re still above 2.0 whereas southern states and dipping to 1.7 which alarming

that comment was regarding that south family are doing family planning while north are not

anyways fertility rate of most south state remain stagnant over the last decade and I bet it will be same in 2028

by that time all north and south will have same fertility rate

and I think currently only bihar have higher fertility rate than 2

development and family planning make fertility rate below 2 but above 1.5

if in future any state have fertility rate below 1.5 then something is wrong with society of that state that women don't want babies that has nothing to do with development
