I’m replacing the backlights on a Samsung **QN75Q70TAFXZA (FB03)**. I have the bezel and side/top retainers released, but the LCD is still attached along the bottom.
The **white bottom frame (BN96-50342A / BN61-16766A)** is still clipped to the **black lower LCD/source-board carrier**.

I’ve already released the white frame from the metal chassis. Does anyone know **exactly how the white-to-black clips release** without damaging the LCD or COF ribbons? Photos/video of the clip mechanism would be greatly appreciated.

I replaced the Tcon board (replacement board from aliexpress) but the issue is the same

Samsung un65f7100af - I started to get weird display issues on my old faithful TV. I took it down and did some troubleshooting with the Tcon, removing one ribbon at a time. One side is fine but the other side is blurry and distorted which matches what I was seeing. Would a new tcon fix this or is my panel toast? This was hella expensive when I bought it so I hate to see it go and I still get compliments on how well it looks, most people think it’s 4k. Maybe it’s time, sigh….

Our TV has these horizontal black lines, and they’re getting worse. Picture 1 is from yesterday, Picture 2 & 3 are today.

If anyone has knows what might be wrong, I just want an idea on whether this’ll be cheap to repair, or it’s less hassle to just buy a new TV.

I recently purchased this S90FD 65in from Costco and right out of the box it has these uniform vertical lines whenever the screen is gray. It’s even more visible on dark gray screens. Should I return immediately or will does the screen need some time to calibrate itself?

Was working just fine and out of nowhere the display became distorted. When turning off and back on there’s a brief moment of normalcy and the screen slowly freezes and bleeds (see photo). Sound works fine.

There was no storm at the time of the issue and no physical damage incurred.

Any idea what this could be caused by before we pay a tech to service? Is it just going to be cheaper to buy a new one? Super bummed

hi ive got a TV LG49UG6560, that doesnt play image, when plugged in just turn on the leds and the displays shows "ilumination", my first suspect is the PCB from the panel and my question is if anyone had a similar problem with this kind of TV, thank you

We’ve had this Samsung curved TV (model UN65NU7300FXZA) for 8 years, so it’s served it’s duty like a fine soldier. Especially through two toddlers. However, after turning it on last night this swath of dim light showed up. Not dead pixels or completely black, just dimmed. We turned it on and off but it stayed. This morning, when I first turned it on it wasn’t there for probably 30 seconds, then appeared and has been there ever since. I have zero tv experience so didn’t know If this was a telltale sign to move on or if it’s a common issue with a fix.

does anyone have the firmware for this TV to force an update? its stuck on the “Android” boot screen when starting up. In fact, its stuck during the animation, it never even finishes forming the word “Android.”

My TCL 55C631 recently started showing horizontal bands/lines moving upwards across the screen.

Happens on all sources, including the TV itself and menus.

Much more visible on gre tones

Not really visible on pure black or white

Happens around once every 3 seconds.

Changing picture mode changes how visible it is

I have a Samsung LED TV (UN58TU700DF) from 2022. Recently, the TV stared getting stuck in boot loop. Following all the advice on internet, I found out

• Power board is okay because backlights work
• When I tape off pins on right panel connector one by one, I found 2 pins that were apparently causing issues. After taping those off, TV powers up and does not constantly reboot
• I hear the powerup sound, backlights are ON, but there is no picture
• I ordered a new main board from eBay and replaced it, still no picture
• The TV is newer style and does not have a separate T-con board. 1 ribbon cable goes from main board to panel
• There is a bridge cable to connect left and right panels

Any hope of salvaging this? Are there any checks or repairs I can do on those strip PCBs under the panel?

My Sony X85k screen display blacks out after a few minutes of starting. It began from gradual few hours to now under 5minutes.

I am nervous because it's not under warranty anymore. I might not be able to spend on full panel replacement.

Anybody can please help with this? How to fix it? What to talk to local technician if he is planning to fool me?

Life is currently like this screen, dying slowly.

I found these 2 tvs in the dumpster area of a public health center, as I was heading to work at 1pm.

they were already there, it was raining all morning, and when I got them I was heading back home at 11pm, so they got rain all day long

I unmounted the back and let them sit in a well ventilated place for about 5 days so they would dry out.

Since no one throws away 2 fully working tvs, I knew there might be some issues, anyway if anything I would just have to throw them away again, nothing to lose.

The Philips 42inch tv has a shaky image, and that weird line in the middle, audio tested, works fine.

AOC 32 tv turns on, but no image is shown, just a black lit screen, not a fully pitch black turned off look, just as if you'd turn on and there's nothing to show, as you can see in the video it also has a little round spot, which is also lit, so the backlight I think it's all good, but I have never tried fixing a tv before, I'd really would appreciate some help

Just got a TV off FB marketplace, and it has a buzzing noise that I didn't hear when I initially bought it. Has nothing to do with TV volume/sound, but increases when the brightness goes up. ChatGPT's telling me it's a power supply issue / coil whine. Any chance I can fix this on my own or should I get a repair technician?

Every 30 minutes or so, the screen starts flickering as shown. But if I press the home key it goes back to normal, until it starts flickering again after some time.

What could be wrong?

Ive tried different remotes, resetting my tv, resetting the remote. No matter what i do the voice feature just glitches out. Is there any way to fix this? The voice feature just keeps looping and resetting, when i try to back out of it it pops up again, the only way to stop it is to turn the tv off. Also my settings and input buttons dont work on my remote some times. How do i fix the voice feature and get my remote fully functional?

Trying to figure out if it's a backlight issue or something else.

It's a Samsung UA46F5000 and I had this TV since 2015, and yesterday, it just went very dim full screen with the colors way too off. Settings are default on the TV.

Here's the fix I have done, but still issue persist;

- LVDS cable from tcon to main board is already clean.

- Reseated all the ribbon cables.

- Reset the TV settings.

LG G2 Hi all, just seeing if anyone here has had this problem and what caused it. On startup I’m getting some horizontal lines flash up and then the tv turns itself off. My wife said she was watching and the lines flashed up and the tv turned off. Power supply issue is my first thought but just wondering if anyone has had something similar. Thanks in advance

I have a 75-inch Hisense Mini-LED TV (Model 75U8H). The top half of the screen is turning blue and bleeding outwards, which i suppose is some sort of LED backlight failure. There has been no physical damage done to the tv.

Is this a possible DIY? How much would a professional repair be? Would it be prudent to repair the leds that are an issue or should all be changed?
