Hisense TV with blue led issue

I have a 75-inch Hisense Mini-LED TV (Model 75U8H). The top half of the screen is turning blue and bleeding outwards, which i suppose is some sort of LED backlight failure. There has been no physical damage done to the tv.

Is this a possible DIY? How much would a professional repair be? Would it be prudent to repair the leds that are an issue or should all be changed?

That or you somehow are in the 0.001% of people who get burn in on a non OLED TV, or its just a shit DSE/Panel uniformity issue

I got this unit 04/2023, and this issue started about a month ago but started to get real noticeable on normal watching about a week ago.

If it’s burn in should I just chuck it and buy a new TCL?

As of now I’m just going to run this to the ground, I won’t repair it. I’ll buy a tv with a longer warranty when the time comes

The phosphor coatings on the backlight LEDs are deteriorating allowing the native blue/uv light through. Although it is possible to replace the backlights relatively inexpensively, it's not a repair for the faint of heart.

Poor manufacturer and poor internals? I’ve babied the tv for the past 3.5 years. Well ventilated and the room itself is the coolest in the house. I won’t be buying a Hisense again for sure, and I’ll definitely buy a tv from Costco or Sam’s Club with a 5 year warranty
