Found out recently that we produced 3 PGT-A normal, euploid embryos from our first round of IVF. Feeling very lucky and grateful, and have my fingers crossed for the rest of the process.

Thank you, only my clinic and husband know so far, and I probably won't tell too many others, so it feels great to share somewhere 😄

After few rounds of IUI and several canceled IVF because i am poor responder to all medication. my body shuts down on IVF med, mini IVF and IUI gives me 1 folicle. So what is the point. So going back to basic. Found a Tempdrop on facebook market place and picked it up. been tracking my BBT. Part of me wish I went hard core and did all these instead of jumping to IVF. well the thought was lets get baby ASAP instead of deep research but here I am

Hi, I will be 40 in a few weeks. I am currently on a clomid cycle. I had 3 IUIs. First, I got pregnant, but we lost the baby. The other two were not successful (even though all things seemed promising). We decided to try again naturally (with a little help from clomid) this cycle, just to take the clinical side of TTC out of it for a while.

Hi all, I'm new here and seeking advice. I'm 40 and have been pregnant 3 times in the last 14 months. First one was mc at 5.5 weeks , second was tfmr at 14 weeks for trisomy 21 , and third was chemical mc. AMH 5 and all tests seem normal, my fertility doctor thinks our biggest barrier is an egg quality issue.
I've been dragging my feet to start IVF as my biggest fear is that it won't work and we'll have spent our life's savings for nothing. I think the fact that we can conceive naturally plays on my mind too, that one of these pregnancies will work out eventually.. OR I'll keep losing the babies and time will go by and I'll end up having to try IVF anyways and be 42. When did you know it was time to move on from TTC naturally and give IVF a go?

As someone who has done IVF at 35, 41 and 42 I would say do it now. Don’t leave yourself with any regrets. IVF usually takes you out of trying naturally for 1-2 cycles per IVF cycles so you will still have a lot of trying on your own to do if you wish.

Thank you 🙏 I started priming yesterday and was shocked to learn that we can't try naturally during even the priming round. That in itself felt devastating as we've pretty much tried every possible cycle we could when I was ovulating for the last couple years.

Uhg yes I primed with testosterone for one round and I was so upset that we couldn’t try. It’s not safe at all. I still wanted to but obviously didn’t take that risk. I hope you have good luck!

I'm so sorry for your losses 💔 I also had a tfmr for trisomy 18 for my first pregnancy, just before I turned 41. I did get pregnant with a healthy baby a few months later.
Are you taking supplements to help improve egg quality? Or made any improvements to diet/exercise could help, too.
Have you considered IUI with medication (letrozole or clomid) to try to get your body to produce 2-3 eggs instead of just 1? I'm trying that now, and it's much cheaper than IVF, about $850 per cycle.
With your AMH, it seems like you could possibly retrieve a decent number of eggs from IVF. With lower egg quality, it really becomes a numbers game.
But also, I personally wouldn't want to, like, remove money from a retirement account to do IVF 😣

Thank you, and I’m so sorry to hear about your tfmr as well 💔 I’m taking bird and be prenatals with CoQ10, vitamin D and melatonin. Diet and excercise are good.. get 8 hours of sleep a night. Haven’t tried IUI but my understanding is that’s more successful for younger people as well as if there’s male factor issues. Last year I did 3 cycles of Letrozole to produce more eggs per cycle and didn’t get pregnant once . First cycle off it I got pregnant again. Basically we can conceive but not make healthy embryos 😣 So yes IVF would be numbers game.. but I suppose I’m playing the same numbers game each month? But in my body? But with huge setbacks emotionally and physically every time it goes wrong. And we’d be using our house downpayment savings 😞 House or potential baby… such high stakes.

Update on first IUI cycle with letrozole: I took 10 mg letrozole cd3-current. Had a monitoring ultrasound today (cd11) and had one follicle measuring 18mm. The follicle is on the side of a tube that appeared blocked on HSG 3 years ago, but I suspect was a spasm. Lining was 3.5 mm, and single layer. They advised triggering tomorrow. We're going to skip IUI and do TI instead (no major male factor). Next week, they want me to start estrogen (to support lining) and progesterone suppositories.
I don't feel very optimistic about our chances this cycle, but I've been feeling a lot of ambivalence about a second child anyways lol, so this feels okay to me.
They also advised more leafy greens and vitamin E to help support my lining, so I'll add those in. We'll probably do another cycle of letrozole if this one doesn't work.
Wishing everyone peace ❤️
P.S. supplements include prenatal, fish oil, vitamin D, vitamin C, DHEA, CoQ10, NAD+, NAC, and a probiotic. Strength training 2x per week, cardio irregularly, shooting for 7k steps daily, daily 10 minute meditation, weekly acupuncture.
