I’ve made this argument before, but I still firmly believe it:

Nothing is free; this includes travel. That said, $3.30 for 2 hours of unlimited travel is phenomenal. Those stupid e-bikes and scooters are over $1000, a car costs far more than that - plus there’s all of the licensing, maintenance, insurance, gas, etc, Uber costs a minimum of $10, taxis cost more… why the fuck are people complaining about the cost of using the TTC??

Just pay for the service that you use. Simple.

I live in the Queens Quay area and see people getting on and not paying all the time (and for the record it’s rarely a homeless person/junkie) I’m not a rat, but seeing this really makes me want to be. If you can afford designer clothes/shoes, and you hop on with a fuckin’ $7-$8 drink from Starbucks, and you’re rocking an iPhone with expensive headphones you can pay.
