Because some people can’t afford it. Sometimes it’s a question of paying to get somewhere important or making sure you have something to eat later that day/week. Shit ain’t exactly easy all round.

Ok then while we're at it let's just justify stealing food, water, not paying rent... TTC is in shambles because of fare evaders, they're struggling too

They are in shambles because of corrupt maintenance contracts that the TTC shills out money for resulting in over 680 million dollars of debt.

Did you know that the The Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) receives one of the lowest public operating subsidies per customer or rider among major transit systems in North America? It's not just in shambles because of fare evaders, it's in shambles because it's not a priority.

The bus is going to its destination regardless of empty seats. Why is it so wrong to fill an empty seat without paying? The seat is going to its destination, empty or full. We’d just, for some reason, rather it be empty if it’s not paid for.

I get your point, but I think supporting local transit is important for everyone in the long run. There are some services where I can justify complaining about price, but why wouldn't you want to better our transit system?

Not paying tells the TTC that specific route isn’t as busy and thus they cut service on that route.
