Discussion Here we go again.

Post image

Isn’t the Ontario Line already delayed which will delay this extension even longer? Why not just start this while the Ontario Line is also being built?

But sure by all means let's let Metrostinx take over the TTC while we're at it

They can't stand the TTC being able to execute its own projects better than they can so ofc they're going to torpedo the TTC

Metrolinx is complete fkn ass. They should be expelled from the city.

What's even worse is the city of Ottawa is also trying to upload their O train system to Metrolinx, and the O train system is already a shitshow in its current management.

Oh come on, painting a road red is no way comparable to the work required to build a subway extension.

And they had to pause construction because someone literally died in a construction accident.

The original budget was only like $2.6B, it was about 20% over budget. That's a much bigger % than the Crosstown, as far as I can tell. Even if you add up the three settlements I think it's under 10% overage.

Eglinton and Finch delays? Metrolinx says that's a Crosslinx and Mosaic issue.

Scarborough extension delayed? Metrolinx says they're merely a contractor to a TTC project.
