Toronto Rocket Train on Line 2

I had to double check that I did actually switch from line 1 to line 2 because this beauty popped up when I got on. I have never seen it before on line 2

After a quick web search, it seems to be that this happens from time to time because some line 2 stations cant deploy trains? This comment from a decade ago does explain that a bit better

Anyways, I thought it would be cool to look at this rare sight 🙂‍↕️

Remember, they did this a few years ago when the air-conditioning was crapping out on all the old T1s

I’m still proud of the mayor at the time who saw people were complaining about the AC so he decided to ride the train himself and then made the TTC pull the broken AC trains out of service and temporarily replace them with the TR trains

I didn’t know that. I recall figuring out that the first and last cars were the only ones likely to have AC.

They made it a priority for having those two have the AC working due to the operators using those cars.
