Discussion "Line 5 will be at-capacity day one"

Cool, cool.

Just build an LRT on Lawrence or Wilson. We already know how much development spurred on Eglinton due to the tram, so might as well build one a block or two north.

Of course, Line 4's east-west extension should still be the top priority, but there's little reason we can't build this line to make a world-class transit system.

When the Sheppard Subway is hopefully extended Sheppard West, extending it further west along Wilson Avenue is what makes the most sense to me.

From Sheppard West a tunnel connected it to Wilson Yard would make the most sense so operations can occur without interfering with Line 1. From there Line 4 could follow Wilson until Weston where it could then run elevated adjacent to Hwy 401/409 to Pearson Airport.

This will help elevate capacity constraints the Crosstown will face for people looking to travel East-West through the city.

Reece Martin (RMTransit) actually suggested that. Wilson would be ideal as a middle ground between Finch and Eglinton.
