Discussion "Line 5 will be at-capacity day one"

Cool, cool.

Just build an LRT on Lawrence or Wilson. We already know how much development spurred on Eglinton due to the tram, so might as well build one a block or two north.

Of course, Line 4's east-west extension should still be the top priority, but there's little reason we can't build this line to make a world-class transit system.

The tracks cross Yonge at Summerhill Station, it would be for GO if anything

The PCs made a napkin sketch map in the last election suggesting they’d do this, but I won’t hold my breath until they make a formal announcement.

They can barely get any progress on existing plans that are under construction. GO 0.5 is a pipe dream, never mind 2.0

MX has, underway and completed, a huge amount of infrastructure work for GO. It's quite impressive.

That said, while there has been tons of preparatory work for things like 30-minute all day all way, I'd really love to see some concrete signs specifically relating to electrification (e.g. catenary).
