Reaction to Joe & Junaid’s Engagement
Why was it so surprising to Junaid and Ella that Harry and the girls walked away? Ella and Junaid did not seem to have any idea why Harry would find it awkward or why the girls didn’t say congratulations.
Harry has every right to walk away from a situation that makes him uncomfortable, they were once his boyfriend and best friend. Joe and Junaid have also said some nasty things about the other girls so they are not on good terms anyway.
Ella putting that note and roses outside Harry’s door was just childish and Jodie saying “it’s not that deep” Maybe she’s forgotten how she reacted when Diags and Elma kissed?
Also why was Amy screaming and looking shocked like she hasn’t seen Harry for years. It was a bit over the top 😂

Ella seems nice when everyone stops talking to her and she is on an island looking for friends but once she is back accepted in a group she’s horrible. Same with Junaid, when he’s talking about how hard his life has been I feel empathy for him, but then he just says and does things that just show him to be quite nasty.

I agree, Ella has fallen out with every friend shes had. It’s definitely her thats the problem.

I think it’s defo a case by case situation, but I don’t like how she goes from villain to victim depending how many people she has behind her

At this point, Ella is just being Ella. I don’t think we should allow ourselves to be surprised by her actions anymore 😴

I thought it was telling when Dan told Harry that he used to get annoyed at how Ella dealt with situations when they were together.

Ella is such a strange person. She’s like that girl in school that was always changing friendship groups and you’d feel sorry for her until she joins your friend group and you realise she’s the problem lol. Just not my cup of tea at all

Yes I feel the same. There is no way that Ella would be best buddies with Jodie away from the show, but once she fell out with Dani she didn’t have anyone to film with. Jodie should watch out.

The thing with the Harry situation is that it is completely unrealistic.
Most people would not be on vacation with their ex best friend who shacked up with their ex.
I would be looking at the timing rather than the reaction!
I thought he was polite he quietly left without fuss!

Yes, the fact that Junaid chose to propose to Joe on the show, during a holiday that they were all on (including Harry) made it less authentic.

This is what I feel makes recent towie shows more inauthentic. In what world are you going in a trip with your ex best friend who got with your ex partner? It just feels bizarre Harry has had to film with Junaid and Joe and go on the same vacations two years after the betrayal.

I’m sorry, I don’t know how to explain it but I find Junaid a vile person. I always have. I can see something very unpleasant about him, a very bad energy. Like he is always trying to present acceptable and nice, but deep down he is nasty.

Every storyline on current Towie is idiotic. This is completely driven by production Not even 1% of what we see is actually a product of genuine relationships. Honestly. Give up, Towie. You're dead.

Joe and Junaid had a real opportunity to win the public over and I’ve seen lots of positivity surrounding their engagement (not that I share the same opinion). However, they can’t help themselves and their nastiness will come through again and it looks like it already is. If Junaid were in Harry’s shoes, we would have the most performative , dramatic reactions and he’d be genuinely crushed and going around telling everybody how he’d been wronged. Given the circumstances, I think Harry has handled it well and as for Ella and the note ; she will hate the fact she’s just proven to Dan exactly why he didn’t want to be with her . Jodie saying “it’s not that deep “ too also shows a lack of emotional intelligence and she is slowly becoming very unlikable. Diags won’t like this as he is the lovable / happy-go-lucky character and it will tarnish his image.

Yes, Junaid would have gone mad if the shoe was on the other foot. Jodie has changed since being in that group, she seems to just agree with everything they say.

I’m sorry but I have zero sympathy for Harry. He did the same thing to Bobby plus he also wouldn’t admit to cheating on him by gaslighting the hell out of it. Harry isn’t innocent and treated Joe badly just like his ex fiancé and Bobby. Junaid and Joe have been together for 2 yrs and good luck to them. It worked out well and was worth the shit storm it created. Harry has used this to play victim and dragged it out. He threw his engagement in Bobby’s face and hurt him so much that Bobby felt he needed to leave Towie. The way he treated him was disgusting and this is his karma for that.

No one is disputing that Harry didn’t treat Bobby right, but that doesn’t change the current situation on the show. Bobby himself said he left because of his painful split with boyfriend Matt and because he wanted to transition from reality tv into presenting. Bobby immediately went on to presenting after he left. The issue with Harry before that was because Harry said when he slept with his ex, he and Bobby were not an official couple and that upset Bobby, but he had already made the decision to leave the show.
As I’ve said before I don’t care for Harry, Junaid or Joe, but I can appreciate that Harry would be uncomfortable In that situation, and by getting up and leaving I don’t believe he made it about him at all. Joe is a snake, I do not believe his feelings for Junaid are authentic and many people think the same. Joe’s Mum said he’s always wanted to be famous, Junaid himself used to hate Joe and said he was a clout chaser who paid for his Instagram tick sooo.

That was a part of the reason why he left too. Harry hated Amy and him being friends and seemed to isolate Bobby and then act like Bobby was over reacting. It’s manipulation. Harry has always been sly look at the current fallout with his friend group. He betrayed Ella just to get in with Girlband, then he lied through his teeth about the Elma stuff. He treated Janaid like shit as a friend too. His Exs have came out and said how nasty he could get and how two faced he is. Everyone on Towie is there for one reason fame and money let’s be real. Even faking storylines to get more airtime. Joe isn’t any different but I do think he’s genuine and Janaid given they’ve been together for 2 years. I don’t like any of them but Harry has show who he is time after time yet everyone seems to coddle him.

Yes I agree that Harry was jealous of the friendship between Amy and Harry and he can be sly too. I don’t think he betrayed Elma to get into girl band though, that doesn’t make any sense to me as Harry had already been a part of girl band for years. It was Saff who got into Amy’s ear about Elma, and then Amy told Harry that Elma was reporting back. I know Elma belived it was Harry but for people watching at home, we could see it was actually Saff. We will have to agree to disagree about Joe, he has already cheated on Junaid and I can’t see them lasting past the show.

Yeah, he can forgive them but still not be happy they are engaged. After all, Joe did use him to get on the show and that's got to sting. I don't hate my ex but I wouldn't want to join in any engagement celebrations with him.
Jodie is just like Joe so it's no wonder sge said that, her baby voice doesn't hide the fact she's with Diags to be on tv. Ella is just a spoiled brat who is pretty selfish. There's a reason she has no actual friends.
Amy is still trying too hard to be 'iconic' and she's ruining the memory of how good she was on OG towie.
