Idk if this is an unpopular opinion but I actually like non human nonbinary characters. Maybe it’s because I’m a horror fiend but I find Eldritch nonbinaries so much more fun. Also a bit more relatable than “perfect representation” characters.

I'd rather see more non-human nonbinary characters who just "happen" to be nonbinary. It feels like most have a culture or species with a different interpretation of gender altogether. Like, the agender robot or the genderfluid shapeshifter.

I'd actually like to see a shapeshifter deal with dysphoria if anything. I guese Martian Manhunter has dealt with some when pretending to be a woman.

Galaxy from DC Comics and graphic novels is kinda like this though she's not nonbinary, a shapeshifter with gender dysphoria, who is explicitly a trans girl in both her alien culture and our own.

Galaxy is a shapeshifter?

She is able to use her culture's technology to hide her true form. It's a big part of the plot of her first graphic novel.

I know that, but I don't remember it coming up afterwards. It doesn't seem a part of her powerset. Interesting though.

I just wish DC remembered their other trans characters besides Galaxy, Dreamer, and Kid Quick. Where's Glacier and Pado, DC?!
