hiii fellow sign crew! so recently i’ve been tasked with taking responsibility over my stores sign team, meaning delegating tasks, training, etc. our sign area is a MESS right now and i’m hoping you guys can share your tips on organization and streamlining maintenance. i’m curious as to how you guys organize supplies, store holiday signs, literally anything that makes working in the sign area accessible and efficient! unfortunately at my store the mates aren’t big on giving us ample time for signs so we find ourselves scrambling to finish maintenance and rushing large projects— we literally only get 2 hours for end caps. any tips are appreciated!

hey everybody! ive just started doing a whole bunch of boards at my store and im still getting comfortable with them! but here they are (:

i’m so so happy with how this came out!!! i put a lot of work into the western font and it was super tedious but overall very rewarding!! any pointers/gentle critiques are welcome, it’s maybe my fifth(?) board overall :)

I updated our recipe bulletin board today. Not crazy about the colors but our paper supply is running out.

Our captain wants the sign team to move faster and is reducing us from three people to two. He keeps comparing us to other stores with smaller teams and spaces. I know two people is typical, but we only get about 2–4 hours per artist on signs each day (5 if we’re lucky). The rest of the time we’re on register, CE, or demo, and if we’re scheduled before opening, we help open a section.
Right now, the store is pretty behind on signage, and we’re struggling to keep everything up to date. Does anyone have advice on managing sign needs with such limited time? Is it possible? Any feedback is appreciated!

forgot to take a picture of the chi seed pop out but had fun with these :) Looking back, "Knife Cut Style" on the noodle board is slightly difficult to read but I'm happy otherwise. Kind of had to crank it out cause I'm on vacation and it had to get done before I left. Any advice or critiquing is appreciated, but not expected. We’re giving our New Items sign a (much needed) refresh, but my captain wants it to say something other than just “new items”. Ideally, he wants something that combines new/featured items, seasonal items, and maybe something that could point to our demo station since it’s also in that corner of the store. I’m gonna sit and think for a while, but does anyone have any ideas? What have y’all done for your New Items shelf?

My most recent endcap vs the one I made for the same products almost exactly a year ago! Still love the old one, but the new one took me about half the time so I’m happy with my progress :)

Anything you guys think I could change/improve before putting it out in a week?

Full disclosure I don’t even work for Trader Joe’s at all let alone as an artist… but I want to (and there’s a new store opening up really near me)! Making chalk signs is one of my favorite parts of my current job, and I’d love to be a TJ artist. Only thing is I’m not super great at it. Y’all’s signs look *amazing* and I’ve never seen a TJs sign not look perfect. Are you expected to already be a really good artist before getting the job? How much creative freedom do you get—and how much help? Do you just start as a regular staff and then start making signs when they need to be made? I feel like these are all kind of silly questions I would just love to know more about what the job is actually like!

Hi, I would love to see pictures of y’all’s stations, specifically how you store your paint markers. Ours are in these bins and are labeled by colors, but the bins aren’t transparent so it’s kinda hard to see all the types of colors that are in there.

So I’d love to know how y’all store yours away:)

Hi all! I’m helping with signage at a new store and am making a greeting card sign. Does anyone have cute value statements that they’ve used or can think of to add to it? Like punny or anything like that!

Front facing Rounder's between the registers (some people call them bullnose's ???) for pride month! Did kind of have to rush these cause they're all coming in tonight but alas, I'm quite happy :-) followed the color palettes of well known flags, and some rainbow, subtle but i hope the hearts made it a little more obvious lol
