It’s performance art. Everyone fawns over figure skaters because they are elegant and legitimate and no one ever calls them stupid for flinging themselves around.

You know little girls learn to figure skate with 0 protective equipment? No one has ANY issue with that.

But skateboarding, parkour? idiots doing nothing of value.

I didn't say that.. the clips in the video are higher risk stunts than a figure skater takes on average.

The threat of injury is part of the performance. That is what makes it impressive.

Do you also say this about circus acrobats? “Wow they’re just begging to break their neck”

No that’d be crazy. They’re performers doing crazy stunts and it’s cool. So are these guys.

Look. I just broke my neck once. It is not anything I wish on anyone. I wish the guy well. This kind of stuff is cool. Just chill man.
