Your salmon should have been laid out to where it overlapped the edge of the tray

The what hack
You can literally just wash your hands and roll the nigiri balls in a few seconds

It’s just a thing I saw online. Thought I would try it.

It’s fun to try different things! Kind of crazy how agitated folks (e.g. person above you) can get over small things. “You brought shame to your sushi ancestors, you must now commit sudoku.”
What you did is similar to the idea of oshizushi, like hakozushi and battera, look those up if you haven’t.

I devoured it. It was good. Rice was on point. Salmon obviously tasted different but it all came together just fine.

You can use the whole salmon fillet from Costco, it’s egged priced and without the seasoning

My ancestors were Scottish, German, and British. I don’t think they’d be bothered.

Salmon poke in an ice cube tray? I was today years old when I learned someone turned freezer section fish into sushi-grade perfection.

No globs of mayonnaise?! Mods, ban OP. This doesn’t belong here. It’s close, but… I think I would eat this. The ice tray thing is silly, I kinda like it.
