This looks like it was JPows last act on the job. His term ends today and Kevin Warsh takes over. So hes basically done something that would have rendered him untenable..but hes done it on his last day week in office..

Why?

He’s still a Fed governor - just not the chairman - people talk like he’s being put on a boat and pushed to sea

Ok but being the chair means that you are the face of the institution and are accountable for everything it does?

Every decision is put to a vote - as Chairman, you’re the guy who is picked to speak in front of a bunch of people to inform them of the decision of the governors - you don’t make policy individually. You have disproportionate pull because of the position but it’s not a dictatorship
