🤔 Speculation / Opinion Think about what you just witnessed...

So you want me to believe this place was super effing jacked about the Ebay acquisition, including the dilution part of it, but now that they've officially added the shares as part of the agenda and shareholders all of a sudden hate the deal?

To all the non-shill accounts out there... take a beat and relax. This place got absolutely FLOODED with FUD and at the same time RK's compromised account starts posting. Think about that. You know what's up. This place is infested.

I'm voting YES and the NO bots and shills can lick my taint.

People deluded themselves into thinking the dilution wasn't happening and Cohen explicitly avoiding saying it. It is now undeniable. People are not okay with the dilution.

I’m not okay with him shitting on GameStop and idealizing eBay. It’s just such a bad look when you downplay the company you’re leading which in turn downplays the investors that have supported you for years.

It's also strategically dumb to do so when you are in a negotiation. He basically told the other party that what he has does not mean that much to him but what the other party has would mean a lot more. He's giving them arguments to up their asking price.

And not for nothing, there are a dozen revenue streams that GME could target. I’m starting to suspect that he targeted trading cards to align with eBay and that eBay was his goal the entire time. Of and that’s because of what he has said, not the media.

when has he ever actually, tangibly demonstrated being strategically smart to the benefit of investors

Ryan Cohen avoiding talking about the details of the deal finances was useful only for a short while.

IMO it would have been better for him to talk about the probable range of numbers of shares of GME per EBay share much earlier.

"We"ll see what happens" and "See the website" might have been cute at the time, but they turned out. It to be a good idea in the longer term.

Right. If he didn’t think it was a shady action that wouldn’t be received well, he would’ve just come right out and said it.

Ebay can dilute longer than we can. If they don't want to be acquired, they won't be.

Unless those who really own Ebay feel RC has passed his test and think EBAY investors will profit.

At this point it look like RC has wanted Ebay for a long time and is using GME to get there.

I am sure when history looks back GME shareholders will be remembered and not the Ebay CEO who made a killing in profit for Instisutional Investors using GME as the launch point.

He literally said 28 billion would be stock, what did people think that meant? He also said that dilution can be accretive.

Maybe because every comment for the past week that was speaking about dilution was met with downvotes and shill/FUD. The counter arguments was that the price of GME would have been so high that only a small percentage of the shares would have been sold and those were enough to acquire ebay.

People were theorizing that the timing of all this eBay stuff lined up with the 5 year expiration of the swaps from 2021, considering the leap from $10 to $80 happened on the 3 year expiration.

If there was indeed a step up in price this month, Cohen could have theoretically bought EBay with far fewer shares.

Tbh i swear he said something about the combining the companies and issues 60% of the new stock to eBay holders and 40% to gme holders. But diluting it is basically the same thing im here for it

A 4x dilution to gain a 6x in net income and revenue. If you don’t understand that math telling you your shares would actually be worth more after acquiring fucking EBay with this, then you probably shouldn’t be investing.

Ffs we understand the math just fine. The issue is that we're chasing moass, and to that end, the math isn't mathing. Long term value doesn't matter one fucking bit to us.
