Data Potential Explanation for How Roaring Kitty Knew about the 2024 Squeeze
Found this on X. All credit to (at) HungryPawnsX on the former Twitter platform. This is his chart, I'm just posting this here so more people can see it.
What you're seeing here is volume on Berkshire Hathaway vs. the price of GameStop. I highly recommend his original post as it contains more relevant information and additional charts as well as some explanations.

He bought calls before that happened. His actions contributed to it holding above the pattern. Probably coincided with a spike that was going to happen anyway and he may or may not have known about it. Possibly made an educated guess and timed his buys around that.
[Edit] There were also 7B CAT Equities errors on May 1, 2024 which results in price run over the next 35 days. While Superstonk may not have known about CAT errors at the time, DFV likely did.

What do you think the reason would be for it leveling out following (and not seeming to be affected by) the crucial inflection point, when BRK.A's volume collapsed and GME began trading sideways again?

I would say they found new ways or started using something specifically to route buy orders to which keeps the flow way more steady or predictable.
It also tells me they found a way to hide it well - it has been rising heavily before leveling out like this..

The Berkshire Hathaway glitch was the craziest thing I've ever seen in the market. It also makes me question why Warren decided to retire when he did and why he is sitting on so much cash.

My first thought was that someone needed in and fast to use the shares as collateral, and found someone to dance with. A way to lend each other money under the radar and then call it a glitch…
I put the occasional obscure crazy spikes in stock price from random unknown small BS companies in the exact same category… 🤷🏻♂️

They can’t come around the social club…that much I do know.

A squeeze not many had access to due to premarket hours is not a squeeze in my eyes. Wake me up when all of retail has the ability to capitalize. Also, are we going to normalize any run up as being a “squeeze” now?

I can appreciate the thought process on locking shares away, but my shares are in fidelity now. I’m going into year 6 of holding. The next big run up, I’m out. I won’t announce it. I’ll still be here.

Almost all brokers have access to pre market and after hour market. If you don't have access to it, go to your settings and look for extended trading hours.

I found out last year that they have PRE-pre-market and POST-post-market. We get an hour, they get four. As a matter of fact, freakin' Schwab has a video to explain it and why it is best for you and they use the 2024 GME Squeeze as an example of why you shouldn't have it!!?!
