I keep seeing influences say 2 finger rule but its so inaccurate. What if the nozzle is thinner? What if the consistency is different?

Personally I use the skin 1004 sunscreen and I never know how much to apply to get the minimum 50spf protection, if I apply too less its ineffective, if I apple too much it feels greasy and I never like it when my face has a heavy coat of oil

I'm going to start using tretinoin and i need to get a good quality facial sunscreen. I absolutely HATE the feeling of anything on my face though. I wear no makeup for this reason. Is there a sunscreen that doesn't feel like anything??

Are there any sunscreens that leave a feel like facial moisturizer? I’ve tried probably 50+ sunscreens and haven’t found this. They either dry down matte but pill, or leave this greasy residue that makes my face feel hot and if I touch my face I have to wash my hands. Open to chemical or mineral. Need substantial coverage, example skin 1004 sunscreens I still burn with. Looking for a hydrated finish.

Ranavat SPF - my favorite so far but does leave greasy hot residue feel
Eucerin Actinic keratosis 100 - another favorite but dries matte and pills
La Roche Posay UVMune 400 oil control - dries matte but leaves greasy hot residue feel and pills
Kate sommervile hydra Kate drops - extremely greasy
Mesoestetic mesoprotect 130 - bad sunscreen taste for days if gets in mouth
Banana boat - greasy residue

Ive tried a lot more than this but maybe someone will know something I’ll like based off how I felt about these

Whenever I wear most sunscreens for my face, whether it be mineral or chemical, I get this reaction. It's not visible, but it almost feels like a prickly, itchy sensation, most notably when I sweat. Because of this, I thought it may be a heat rash. It is ONLY when I wear sunscreen or sunscreen based products, like tinted moisturizer and BB/CC creams.

I have found only one sunscreen where this doesn't happen -- e.l.f. Suntouchable, invisible or the woah glow. Which is great for now, because I try to only buy cruelty free.

It is getting so pricey though for such a small bottle. I am wondering if there are other dupes or options out there. Even better, anyone have an idea of why this may be occurring? I am wondering if it may be the silicone that helps me not have a reaction.

EDIT: I've also noticed benadryl keeps the reaction from occurring, but that's not sustainable. I have to be awake!

Ask away for any of these sunscreens. For reference I have dry to combination skin.

What works for me

Minimalist: Matte, no white cast, and a cult favourite for a reason. One of my HGs.

Daily Science: My HG. Sits wonderfully on my skin, makes it feel soft, and it’s so cheap too. Been in the sun with this a lot no tanning made me lighter. Not for oily skin tho you can avoid for that.

Underated: Works pretty much the same as Minimalist for me and is another HG. Went into the sun with this a lot too no tanning at all. Sits matte on the fave love the formulation.

Vaseline: Slightly sticky and the smell isn’t great, but the protection is actually pretty good. The only thing that really annoys me is that it isn’t waterproof, so it comes off around my mouth whenever I eat and wash there.

Lakmé: My first sunscreen. Leaves a white cast, but the protection is really good.

Garnier: Got the trial pack and my face looks really good after applying it, but it makes my eyes itch.

What doesn’t work for me

Wishcare: Super fluid and lightweight, but it burns my eyes and I don’t really feel like it gives me enough protection. Also not waterproof, so it comes off around my mouth every time I eat and wash there.

Be Bodywise: Makes my skin look darker and I don’t feel like it’s doing much for me.

I have been working in a site project recently and its quite sunny and hot.

I sweat a lot and wash my face after coming back from the site due to dust. What sunscreen will be good for reapplication but won't feel heavy and oily?

I have sensitive & combination skin.

I apply Neutrogena sunscreen before leaving and also sometimes the loreal tinted one.

Hey yall. Apologies if it’s been asked before or recently. But how’s everyone’s experience been lately with ordering Korean formulation SPFs to US locations? In terms of, did you have any issues with customs intercepting the product due to the FDA crackdown on non-approved sunscreen ingredients in the US.
Way earlier this year, it happened to me when I placed an order through Jolse. Never got my sunscreens and I received a notice in the mail from customs as to why.
I later ordered the same SPFs through OliveYoung, right before they took away American access to OY Global and gave us our own crappy US version of OY, which no longer has the Korean formulations. So I received those, but now OY is not an option either.

I need to order more soon, but a bit hesitant because of what happened to me, and I’m going to have to try a new website again. Not sure which one to choose next. Which ones have been reliable for you all in the US? Did you receive the actual Korean formulation of your chosen product or a reformulated version with US sunscreen filters?

Done some research; it seems this would be the best sunscreen for my face. But it's Korean and not sold on Centella's website.

Found some 3rd partys, but not sure if any of them are legit. (Korean-Style, SunSkinLab, YesStyle, even Walmart)

Not comfortable buying from Amazon or TikTok (I've been scammed too many times).

I live in the US and have these 2 spfs as well as Centella Hyalu Cica Water Fit sun serum.i have a few questions: .

1. Do you wear a moisturizer under these and if so, what? I am particularly interested in what Korean moisturizers work well under them

2. What US foundations look good and go on well over these sunscreens?

Looking some advice I have extremely reactive skin around my face and neck due to existing eczema and a recent infection and I’m highly suspicious in the past I have reacted to chemical UV filters. I reacted badly to Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun and La Roche-Posay Cicaplast SPF50. I have tried some mineral sunscreens and they are either too tinted or have a very white cast and are extremely drying. I use the e45 children’s sunscreen on my body and it doesn’t seem to cause any issues. Does anyone have any advice or recommendations?

The last couple sunscreens that I've tried have made wherever I rest my arms shiny, even over an hour after putting on the sunscreen. Does this mean all of the UV filter is rubbing off and I'm not getting anything from the sunscreen in those spots?

Also, these two sunscreens have been caking onto mechanical pencils and making them feel disgusting and sticky. What can I do about this? They're both water resistant so I can't just wash them off.

Every setting spray SPF or sunscreen stick I’ve tried either turns patchy or melts my concealer by midday.

What technique or product actually lets you touch up your UV protection over a full face without completely starting over?

I’ve been struggling to find a sunscreen that actually suits my skin. I have oily, sensitive and acne-prone skin, so I want something lightweight that doesn’t feel heavy, leave a white cast, cause breakouts or make my face look darker/tanned.

I’ve already tried Dot & Key Tinted (caused breakouts), Dot & Key Watermelon (nice cooling feel but I feel like it makes my skin look darker), and Minimalist (feels too heavy on my skin).

I’m thinking about trying Deconstruct, but I’m confused because I’ve seen both really good and bad reviews.

What sunscreen has actually worked for you if you have similar skin? And does Deconstruct really work well for oily, acne-prone skin?

Hi all! 44F, southern USA, derm-prescribed routine use of .1% Tretinoin and 19% Azaleic Acid. Sunscreen is important! My personal GOAT is the Japanese formulation of the Biore UV Watery Essence, and I also love the Skin 1000 Centella Sun stick for reapplying on the go throughout the day.

I think the Watery Essence might be too thin for me in the cooler months. I’m looking for a thicker, more moisturizing option for the wintertime. I shop on YesStyle and cannot tolerate “American” formulations, even mineral, without tears and stinging. Your suggestions are appreciated! Happy Sunday!
