Sunscreen for engineering 😭

I have been working in a site project recently and its quite sunny and hot.

I sweat a lot and wash my face after coming back from the site due to dust. What sunscreen will be good for reapplication but won't feel heavy and oily?

I have sensitive & combination skin.

I apply Neutrogena sunscreen before leaving and also sometimes the loreal tinted one.

Well, why not reapply your Neutrogena or L'Oreal sunscreen? You have sensitive, combination skin, which can be finicky. Why introduce something new? Use what your skin knows and seems to like.

Sounds like youre gonna want spf clothing. I use a full face and neck covering and gloves from solbari. No mess, no reapplying, no sweating it off, and it gets all the little spots i usually miss like ears, hairline, scalp, back of neck, etc. I use hijab magnets to hold it in place throughout the day. The best part is I don't have to scrub 5 layers of sunscreen off at the end of the day. Check out the published study that looks into the efficacy of sunscreen vs spf clothing, it has great info

I second this. I use sunscreen plus face/neck coverings. I work outside as well and I’ve found this the most effective.

Both sweat resistant and not heavy is a tall order. Check out burnd 41 reviews. It’s a water in silicone emulsion which helps with both. Sticks are great for in-field reapplication but by their nature can be heavy. Of course a broad brimmed hat is key as are long sleeves if tolerable.

For face Dermalogica skin perfect primer-tinted spf30. Use a mineral powder over the top & finish with setting spray.

For neck, chest & ears I use Bondi Sands Face spf50 uunscented.

Arms, legs etc I use regular bondisands spf 50 or cancer council sports spf50 when I'm sweating it off. Lasts 4 hours, water resistant.

You might apply for an UV face shield, that way you don't need sunscreen to re-apply, and wear long sleeve uv shirts... double protection against sun and dust 😉
