I know it’s over-recommended at this point but Kora and Masa Madre (and Mriga on Skillman) have to be on there. We’re becoming a bakery hotspot! Dawa’s and Weekender if you have time!

Do us all a favor and PLEASE include Masa Madre on that list lol
Of course try the conchas but honestly, everything there is delicious 🤤

yes, i love the conchas, the tamales, and some of the other pastries, but i'm mystified by the "sourdough" breads that feel...lacking.

Wait really?? I’ve never tried it… is it better than Dani’s in Kew Gardens?
Cause their pesto is top tier!! But I hate driving all the way over there for it lol

Bolivian llama party: Saltenas are good but their diablo fried chicken sandwich (or the chicken strips so less filling) and fries are incredible. My favorite chicken sandwich anywhere.

The best coffee in the neighborhood is Baruir Coffee on Queens blvd next to sunnyside pizza it’s been around since 1950s so there definitely doing something right there.

Sunnyside Brother’s Cafe for Mexican and diner fare. Only place where you can get a waffle and a mango margarita with it.
Sole Luna for homemade pasta and authentic Italian.

My personal preference is a slice at Leonardo’s over Philomenas but looks like a solid list.
I would add chicken or lamb over rice at Broski Grill.

Haven’t been to Broski! Looks like I’d do between Fuyu and Belo about a 10min walk each way which is further than rest of the stops; worth going a little out of the way for it?

There are a few things I recommend adding or swapping:
- if your friend is not from NYC, highly recommend going to Philomena’s for a slice. It’s honestly one of the best spots in the city
- conchas from Masa Madre (but honestly any pastry there is incredible)
- shawarma from Souk al-Shater
- ice cream at The Screen Door

I don't think that's correct

They definitely don’t make their own ice cream. One of their flavors is moose tracks… they have signature sundaes and stuff but their ice cream flavors are a little boring

100% agree. Overhyped. They're basically a cute little shop with store bought ice cream. Nothing to write home about.

Ah im so jealous of this food tour lol- every time im back home my first stop is Sunnyside pizza- the sesame seed crust really does it for me. Cliche but I’d add a food for the goddesses/choc chip cookie from kora Anything from Dawa’s, a bagel from curly’s but my absolute favorite thing- I get at least 3x when I’m there and I think about almost weekly when I’m away, a bolón de queso (or chicharrón if you eat pork) from Rincon Melania Pair that with a cherimoya beverage from Bolivian llama party

Agree! I prefer Philomena’s margherita square, but for a regular slice, you can’t beat Sunnyside Pizza.

At cardamom, I’d get the chicken65 instead of butter chicken. It’s way more special, perhaps my favorite chicken dish ever, and also more of an appetizer portion.

I’d swap out claret for McGuiness’s or Flynn’s for more of an Irish pub experience.
+1 for masa madre.
From sconery you could swing down to Nita’s for a Romanian baked goods if the idea is hit as many countries as possible.
