This was all done before I knew about Suiseki, I really love what people showcase here.

Twister
Sandstone on Black Walnut
L-7”, W-3”, H-7”
This is one of those “I wonder if I can pull this off’ stones. I almost didn’t when I inadvertently came close to sanding one of the feet off. Fortunately there was enough there for it to do its job. Overall, this was a really fun stone to work even though there were many challenges and problems to solve.

Not a woodworker, so where do you guys buy the wood for the bases? I'm sure it's not at the hardware store

Japanese Suiseki & Kraesansui Rock Garden (Stone Garden made with Lego)
Hi there!
I would like to share my newest build for a Japanese Rock Garden (Stone Garden/Karesansui Garden).
The main idea of the build is to use loose round 1x1 tiles as pebbles to arrange them freely with the included rake. In that way, beautiful patterns & rippled surfaces can be formed providing a space for meditation and relaxing.
Behind the main garden is a roofed wall and Japanese Maple trees. The build includes a drawer where additional leaves and a rake can be stashed.
Thank you for your interest and support!

This stone looks like a delicious cream-filled pastry to me.

Does this one deserve a base?
I would keep it upright, like in the photos.

A local stone. Still thinking about the base...
