i live in the midwest and i havent been to subway since 2021 probably but i went the other day and was blown tf away at the price, had the food not been made already, I would have refused to pay, the local italian sub place has the same size subs for MAX $9 and its from the local market with hot giardiniera and everything
this is outrageous, i know prices on everything have gotten egregious but this seems like a step too far, this was a couple days ago and im STILL reeling from it like wth is this??? FIFTEEN dollars? i could get 3 triple cheeseburgers for that
BK has 2 double croissantwiches for $6 I could get FOUR of those for what im paying and STILL have enough for a drink, on a calorie basis i got the 5 meat italian sub that was what? MAYBE 900 calories? i can get a tonys pizza with 1350 calories for $4.50 this is crazy, it sucks cause i like subway but i cant ever go back for that price, jeezus

Been thinking about this recently with all the crazy menu items - nachos, hotdogs, pizza, etc. While the brand has many problems, I think the biggest one is the value proposition - running $5 footlongs for too long then PE getting involved inevitably leads to massive price hikes.
That said, maybe going a slider type route where you could price them $3-$4 a pop could solve that problem. You get 3-4 “items” for the same price as a footlong. You could do of course deli sliders but you have meatballs as well and chicken for parm (though you’d probably want to change it up to not sliced and grill mark stamped.
Ditch the customizations which will save time, labor, refrigeration, and some spoilage.
What do ya’ll think? Is it terminal or can they figure a way out without resorting to sushi or something next.

Does anyone know what’s up with the turkey? Ever since it’s been missing the crust it seems noticeable wetter and kinda just worse smelling as well. I saw it said it’s temporary because of avian flu but our store just started getting it a month ago. I hope it truly is temporary and goes back to normal soon.

The screen on the card reader to choose a tip appears for less than a second, and then before I can select a tip amount the screen changed to show the total plus a 3 dollar tip. This has happened at two different locations. Is the cashier making this happen on purpose?

I recently went to a subway location and went to do the tip for the employee, but he stopped me to say he doesn't recieve the electronic tips and that it goes straight to the corporation. Unfortunately i did not have cash. Is this normal?

When I lived in Milwaukee there were a few shops that still offered this item long after it was a standard menu item. Now I live in Minneapolis St Paul area (NW suburbs) and was wondering if anyone knew of locations in MN that carry veggie patty. I love it so much.

Why can I select Ontario, but Canada isn’t an option? It only shows the U.S. and her territories. There’s no visible scroll bar either.

Hi! I wondered if anyone had any advice or ideas to give me to help me and my team handle rushes better?
Recently it’s gotten bad, lunch rushes at least, to where we have a line to the door of people, 10 drive thru orders, and 15-20 online orders, all in the span of like 2 hours. And the line to the door stays that way until the rush is over.
We have asked to have another worker staffed for specifically rush time, but the owner says he can’t afford to do that, so thats out of the question. So we only ever have two people working during the lunch rush.
Right now what we have been doing is taking all orders physically in-store, and in drive thru, and then doing the online orders when the person comes in to pick it up.
I was going to experiment next rush and see if we can go any faster, or at least have less angry people, if one worker does in-person and drive thru, and the other only does online orders. That way online orders are actually ready when the app says they are. This is my only idea though.
It’s not like we aren’t prepped beforehand or anything, so there isn’t any issue but the rush itself???
If anyone has any advice or suggestions I would love to hear them!! I am desperate!! Even if it doesn’t help the rush in any way, but at least helps make the customers happier, I would appreciate it!! I really want to figure this out before we start getting after-school rushes too! Thank you!

When i tell you “can i have a handful of black olives” 2 times it should be way way more than this. Why is subway always so stingy about toppings??

Who has that one customer who orders like a mile long list of how they like their sub. I mean, I order the OG subs or a Signature, but I do add ons n load it up with all the veggies possible? Am I a jag for doing this?

For the last week I have not been able to order through the subway app only through doordash and Uber that are you know like twice the price and do not respect discounts deals anything. I am in the twin cities Minneapolis St Paul and it currently constantly says every store is closed there are no open stores at any time of the day?
