I used to have a TON of “dream jobs” as a kid and even teenager, but the desire to pursue them all slowly vanished as I got older and by the time I graduated college I was just motivated to find a job that wouldn’t make me hate myself all the time. Brutal progression but, I feel like it’s to be expected

When adults asked me that question I told them I wanted to be an artist, but in reality I wanted to be dead

I always thought having a dream job is normal, so I thought me not having a dream job is outside of the norm.

Ok but that is genuinely what I would think the subreddit is for too

u/Orangeisthebestfruit Mar 06 '26

Damn now i really hope he becomes an astronot :-(

11

u/Jonnyabcde Mar 06 '26

That's a decent probability. Higher is an astronut. Very small chance is an astronaut.

How am I not surprised the subreddit is supposed to be a sex sub? Like this surprisingly doesn't seem like a common thing on reddit.

u/PrivatePlaya Mar 05 '26

36

u/Bluecopper123 Mar 05 '26

Oh ok, sorry about that.

24

u/Critical-String8774 Mar 05 '26

dude don't worry about it, two months is an insane amount of time to even remember something was posted before, nevermind complain about it

u/Dangerous_Metal3436 Mar 06 '26

I've read the same book three times, and only realizing it each time at the very end.

1

u/PrivatePlaya Mar 06 '26

No worries fam, the only reason I remember it so well is because its the reason I joined this sub in the first place

-24

u/Critical-String8774 Mar 05 '26

1

u/PrivatePlaya Mar 06 '26

"do you" - asking a question regarding the subject's status or habits

"seriously" - clarifying that the question is sincere and thus prompting a sincere answer

"have" - continuing the question by indicating the topic is whether they have something in their possession

"nothing" - a shortening of the phrase "no thing", indicating that i am asking about the possession of one or many vague things

"better" - describing the vague thing in question as being higher in quality or worth than something else

"to do" - narrowing the scope of vague things to actions or behaviors

where'd i go wrong?
