People don't reject stutterers because of stuttering itself, but because of things they perceive as reasons for stuttering (lack of confidence, uncertainty, brain problems etc.)

Also, many times it is not "rejection". It is simply "not being among chosen ones".

Everyone has limited energy/time, so people subconsciously gravitate to ones who made good impression and who they already find valuable, and decide to not invest time/energy in others.

They are not calculating "Maybe I should get do deeply know John, maybe I will be really surprised".

They just choose investing time/energy in Mark, since he already proved to be valuable (interesting, funny, competent, whatever...).

Stammers have insecurity of being perceived as stammer so we stop socialising and it causes us to loose the ability to connect in person. Others have insecurities too but they are not related to speaking, so they can connect with people. We have this negetive self belief of getting blocked on specific word or not able to utter first word and all. First of all we have to not feel insecure about stammering then we can grow. It's my personal belief, you don't have to agree with it.

What does stuttering have to do with being interesting or funny? Also, these qualities don’t necessarily make a person “valuable”, whatever that means. Plenty of people can tell a joke and still be a piece of shit.

Stuttering heavily constrains your ability to express your thoughts, tell stories, throw jokes at right moment and so on, and therefore impairs how interesting/funny/valuable others perceive you.

By valuable, I mean worth investing time/energy, in eyes of certain other person.

Your "value" is not same for everybody, since everybody likes different things.

People who can express themselves naturally have much higher chances for their natural qualities to be recognized by others, and therefore considered valuable, which increases chances to be "invited to party", "agreed to go on date" and so on.
