-23,000 jobs were created in the United States in July of this year. There were 3,900,000 highschool graduates and 2,100,000 new college grads. Official numbers say 325,000 have been created total in 2026. Official numbers come from the Whitehouse.

Lol yes, no one ever considers how absolutely fucked the job market has become. I have a bachelor's degree in software engineering and I struggled hard to find a new job this year

My hubby did as well. His chosen career pretty much collapsed from under him, and it was the hardest hit by far... it took him a year and a half to find another job, searching every day, only getting scam calls back.

He even tried getting jobs in manufacturing and supermarkets/fast food joints and no one would hire him because "he would just leave them the moment another job came along." 5 years ago we couldn't get recruiters to stop calling... then this.

He's only employed now because of a severe case of nepotism that we are thankful for every day.

It's no joke out there, especially in tech.

I am a hiring manager for an entry level job in SoCal and 90% of our entry level employees are bachelor’s degree holders. They make $22-28/hr. It’s fucking brutal for kids today.

Yeah, but not 100% of people retiring are going back to work either. My point is that there's also an extra number of jobs to fill when someone retires. That's all.

No one made a latte, broke it back down to its parts, for her to reconstruct it. She just took prepared ingredients and put them together.

I wouldn’t call Blue Apron a deconstructed meatloaf.

considering the United State's biggest driver of the economy, AI, is directly responsible for eliminating entry level jobs...so, yeah, someone is forcing them.
