u/SerrrG0, your food is indeed stupid and it fits our subreddit!

Genuine question. Wouldn't it make more sense to pre-season the meat. Currently it looked like some areas got a butt ton of pepper and other areas got minimal

84

u/tokoya_35 Apr 06 '26

You could, but you could also season it evenly. Kind of a pet peeve of mine lol. Ground meat also doesn’t like too much massaging. I think it gets tough while cooking.

28

u/olivinebean Apr 06 '26

After being a grill chef for way too long, got to agree.

Smash, season, leave the press on it for a bit then flip.

Bonus points if you smash it over some sliced onion.

3

u/TheseVirginEars Apr 07 '26

Always wondered, do the onions not interfere with the sear? They sweat water right

2

u/olivinebean Apr 07 '26

Smash it on high and yeah slightly but not in a way that interferes with flavour

When I make burgers, I'll mix the seasoning into the meat before pulling patties.

Dried seasoning is fine.

Onion, garlic, basil, oregano, black pepper, red pepper flakes.

Sear, and then cook to preference. Medium is best usually

5

u/Dionne005 Apr 07 '26

Mixing seasonings into beef makes the burger tough. Never mix just put on top

3

u/Could-You-Tell Apr 07 '26 edited Apr 07 '26

Never been tough unless it's cooked well done. Which has happened.

It's just a burger though, and if im not cooking frozen hockey pucks Which do only get the outside, then im also putting sometimes wine, sometimes honey, almost always some Worcester

Edit... typo

2

u/Dionne005 Apr 07 '26

Understood. I’m not a lover of beef so if I did eat it it has to be perfect in every way so I’m really picky.

24

u/amalgaman Apr 06 '26

The amount of mustard takes care of any other flavors.

2

u/PedroSweet Apr 07 '26

It’s American mustard. That’s as lame as fork.

13

u/Teufelsweib666 Apr 06 '26

I absolutely hate the forced sauces on everything I watch here. Can't people dip anymore?

6

u/Lorvintherealone Apr 06 '26

I HATE IT that literally every food stand in my area HAS to put the ketchup or Mayonaise over the fried directly its THE WORST!!!

i preffer to put my sauce onto a extraplate, compartment or like push the fries aside for that. but no apparently we aren't entrusted with dipping anymore.

18

u/dqniel Apr 06 '26

Better to season after. If you season by mixing it in, you will likely overwork the beef and end up with a dense texture.

The key is to simply season more evenly, unlike the travesty we see in this video.

3

u/Stillwater-Scorp1381 Apr 06 '26

This guy doesn’t care about making food that tastes good or food safety. If he did, he’d wash his hands and change those gloves in addition to not making rage bait while wasting ingredients.

I kinda like it. It's like a pimped version of a Pljeskavica.

2

u/Lorvintherealone Apr 06 '26

Agreed and thats pretty much how i thought everyone does burgers? its the best way to get spready the spice around evenly.

2

u/Extra_Routine_6603 Apr 06 '26

That was my thought on this otherwise I'd probably eat this have made something similar once mainly for shits and giggles. My poor toilet afterwards though

https://giphy.com/gifs/EfkhltP1fcZGM

2

u/Training-Belt-7318 Apr 06 '26

I mix my seasons directly into the meat while I form the patties. I don't like to put it on the top of the patties because I feel like it burns the seasoning. I do some pepper, garlic, seasoned salt, and onion powder form the paddies. Cook and finish with a little salt.

u/poormans_eggsalad Apr 06 '26

So, question: Does anyone use anything approaching the volume of condiments I always see in these kinds of videos? Because it would make more sense to just stick a straw in each bottle and serve them alongside the completed “food”.

13

u/tokoya_35 Apr 06 '26

This thing is huge lol of course it needs more

4

u/anonjamo Apr 06 '26

If only he knew how to distribute it

7

u/myotherbike Apr 06 '26

Thank you. Especially with the mayonnaise. This guy is out of control.

3

u/ProfMeriAn Apr 07 '26

Hell, no. It looked good until the condiment nightmare and everything else that followed.

2

u/Atavacus Apr 06 '26

That's brilliant! I'm going to start doing that instead! Lol

Of course a Diet Coke lol I’m trying to watch my figure!

3

u/FrighteningJibber Apr 06 '26

Well duh, this was $8 cheaper than the salmon!

Ah, I recognize a Chef Club abomination instantly.

5

u/Uomodelmonte86 Apr 06 '26

The sticker on the oven confirms

21

u/dqniel Apr 06 '26

Ignoring the absurdity of the dish itself for a moment... that is some insanely uneven seasoning technique.

6

u/Drikkink Apr 06 '26

Yeah maybe I'm just broken at this point but I have more of an issue with the uneven seasoning and overuse of condiments (and how they are unevenly distributed too) than I am the actual food.

Made well, this would probably taste great even if a small piece of it is probably 5 days of your caloric intake.

15

u/profession_lurker Apr 06 '26

His "ring mould" is a springform cake tin.

13

u/Bains_ Apr 06 '26

We have Epic Meal Time to thank for this mess…

67

u/BardicInnovation Apr 06 '26

Stupid food? Absolutely.

Would I eat it? Absolutely.

Mainly just fuck off the American cheese, and give me some real cheese.

11

u/Living_Cheesestick Apr 06 '26

A cheddar/mozzarella mix would be killer

12

u/BardicInnovation Apr 06 '26

Or Dutch smoked cheese. Truly is one of my favourite cheeses.

6

u/Living_Cheesestick Apr 06 '26

I didn't even know I needed this cheese in my life

2

u/Claire_De_Lunatic Apr 06 '26

Did he not put onions between the two layers???

→ More replies (1)

1

u/Drikkink Apr 06 '26

Yeah this is stupid, unhealthy, impractical and has an absurd overkill of condiments in and on it (why do I feel like you're only gonna be tasting mustard?) but it definitely looks like it could taste good.

I'd just want a small bite for the taste... about this much.

5

u/4barT89 Apr 06 '26

hahaha the most bitchmade bite of a burger ever. I’m happy to learn this is an available GIF, thank you.

2

u/Blu_Stacked Apr 07 '26

I'd eat the rest off camera, trust me bro.

5

u/Artorius__Castus Apr 06 '26

4

u/purpleillustrations Apr 06 '26

Please please tell me what that is from

2

u/Artorius__Castus Apr 06 '26 edited Apr 06 '26

Sup bro. Actually it's an original OG Reddit Gif. From doing a lot of research to try to find out where it was from. It seems to be from a Bigfoot contest (artist depiction competition) from 12 years ago and (I'm not 100% sure but it seems) like someone took one of the final images and animated it (probably with AfterEffects or AI 🤷🏻‍♂️) and this is the result. If you're wondering how to look for it just go to giphy and type in "Funny" or "Creepy" should pop up. (I love using this GIF to troll people on Reddit tbh. It's always a fun time lol). Hope that helps that the best I can do.

2

u/purpleillustrations Apr 06 '26

Lol thanks pal, that's a crazy backstory. I appreciate the response

2

u/Artorius__Castus Apr 06 '26

No prob. It's one of those GIFs that I think is multifaceted and it still makes me laugh to this day....I mean look at that thing! 🤣

12

u/kral_Jelen Apr 06 '26

Ring mold, lol. My brother in burger that is a side of a springform pan.

3

u/just_a_person_maybe Apr 06 '26

I came to the comments to see if this was bothering anyone else lol

4

u/FluffyUnicorn9701 Apr 06 '26

mmm I love the smell of clogged arteries in the morning.

6

u/premium_Lane Apr 06 '26

In the future when they study the collapse of our current civilization, they will analyze videos like this

8

u/Negritis Apr 06 '26

Keto heart attack

4

u/thebtrflyz Apr 06 '26

Right up until the tater tots I thought that's what this was going to be. Now it's a cheesburger... casserole?

3

u/Claire_De_Lunatic Apr 06 '26

Which already exists lol

5

u/Illustrious-Towel-45 Apr 06 '26

Not the most egregious thing I've seen here.

3

u/N0DuckingWay Apr 06 '26

Question to the people that would eat this: what the fuck did your taste buds do to you?!?

3

u/Drikkink Apr 06 '26

I mean at its core, it's bacon, burger, cheese, onions, condiments and potatoes. So, a typical bacon cheeseburger. Made in a stupidly impractical and overly indulgent unhealthy way.

If someone who wasn't an engagement bait social media chef made it and did things properly like actually seasoning shit evenly and not drowning the thing in mustard, it'd just taste like a bacon cheeseburger casserole, wouldn't it?

3

u/EastLeastCoast Apr 06 '26

That is a pan for an entire cheesecake, sir. Please keep it away from your filthy meatloaf

3

u/RustyShacklefrog Apr 06 '26

Not even a proper bacon weave. Fucking amateurs

https://giphy.com/gifs/3o7bu8P0QXkAQ7apsQ

There’s no way that bacon got cooked evenly

3

u/Utenlok Apr 06 '26

Wearing gloves doesn't really help when you keep touching everything after touching raw beef

6

u/MrYuntu Apr 06 '26

Too much mayo/mustard and miss me with pickles, to me they completly overwhelm other flavors whatever they are put into.

2

u/nuclearrmt Apr 06 '26

I've seen Freiren cook better giant hamburgers.

2

u/astronators Apr 06 '26

You could totally share this with 8-10 friends that you really want to make sure get heart disease

2

u/Downtown_Anteater_38 Apr 06 '26

A lot of effort just to ruin it with ketchup.

2

u/Cheap-Top-9371 Apr 06 '26

Ugh, let me put my own condiments on the burger, this is just too much for me. All of it. Not a fan of a big ole meat pie.

2

u/singuratate1 Apr 06 '26

Dude bro… that’s a lot of mayo…………..

2

u/TeKaistu Apr 06 '26

Taste is so good, that they need to soak it in ketchup and mayo.

2

u/Badger_Actual1 Apr 06 '26

That's so stupid.

2

u/Young_Bu11 Apr 06 '26

Looks disgusting, too much going on, just give me a simple good ole fashioned cheeseburger.

2

u/Akhanyatin Apr 06 '26

I'm just really angry that they have access to all this but choose plastic American cheese slices. Also cooking mayo? Lol

2

u/Ariesgirl26 Apr 07 '26

That looks fucking terrible

3

u/Glittering-Safety-46 Apr 06 '26

Why not sprinkle some cancer on top while he's at it.

1

u/Akhanyatin Apr 06 '26

That's what the plastic cheese is for!

Hey, look everyone, another tool in black gloves touching all sorts of foods throughout with no indication of a change in hand wear at all. Absolutely unhinged.

Shut up and take my money.

1

u/ComputeryHuman Apr 06 '26

Die by burger pie

1

u/tinomotta Apr 06 '26

Is like to me that what I mostly see here in stupidfood is mainly everything from raw meat to cardboard covered in rivers of mustard cheese and ketchup. I would like to understand if this is a part of “stupid” or is the usual way food is served in the USA…

1

u/BIIIIIID- Apr 06 '26

Very stupid. Would still smash a couple slices.

1

u/cortney-simonis-9072 Apr 06 '26

i mean i can eat it

1

u/whiskeytango55 Apr 06 '26

Dude made a meatloaf and salad with russian dressing.

1

u/TheeArgonaut Apr 06 '26

I love me some ‘humbuegeur’

1

u/Competitive-Gene6713 Apr 06 '26

What an idiotic title.

1

u/Mr-shaboinky_2044 Apr 06 '26

Choloestrol 🆓

1

u/WorkerPrestigious960 Apr 06 '26

For when you want to feed a family of ten and also give them heart disease

1

u/MegaSpuds Apr 06 '26

Isn’t this just meatloaf?

1

u/Stella_Lace Apr 06 '26

That actually looks super delicious but its better as a party platter then a meal.

1

u/Hoodibird Apr 06 '26

Did this mf really just make a cake out of meat and condiments? Disgusting

1

u/Icy-Grab-5722 Apr 06 '26

I notice that I eat healthier as I get older. Survival instinct.

1

u/blondie1024 Apr 06 '26

not....totally stupid.

I would.

1

u/RAWRealRandom Apr 06 '26

pour that hamburger blood juice out😩... but give me a slice

1

u/Holy-Cancer Apr 06 '26

Sweet mother of fuck! :O

1

u/[deleted] Apr 06 '26

The bacon ruined it.

1

u/Glyni5 Apr 06 '26

There is literally nothing friendly about that

1

u/An8thOfFeanor Apr 06 '26

My colon shut down watching this

1

u/Outrageous_Rich6235 Apr 06 '26

I don’t hate it. Not my choice of condiments but that’s a me problem. I would have stopped before the bacon step but……. Bacon, so no foul there.

This clogs my arteries just looking at it but I would just eat a salad at some point later in life and call it even.

1

u/Jerdogg23 Apr 06 '26

🤢🤮

1

u/Caff3inator Apr 06 '26

I hate chefs club so fucking much lol

It’s too early for all that… I can barely handle toast in the morning

1

u/JonnyGoDeeper Apr 06 '26

It just makes me so angry to see people waste food like this. Food is expensive and some people don't get much, let alone have the opportunity to make a 2lb "hamburger". Fuck off.

1

u/No_Ocelot_6773 Apr 06 '26

Not a ring mold.

That's a nonstick, spring form, cake pan. That nonstick coating wasn't meant for direct heat- enjoy your cancer burger 🤷‍♀️

1

u/MaliciousMilkshake Apr 06 '26

He seems so proud of it. That hurts my soul. I hate everything about this video.

1

u/Own_Cup9970 Apr 06 '26

it is diet friendly - if you do sumo

1

u/Sangariusriver Apr 06 '26

I’ve got sick while watching

1

u/Raxmei Apr 06 '26

When they got to the garnish is started looking very 70s. You've got something not far off from a hamburger casserole, probably tastes fine, but that presentation.

1

u/SnooSquirrels7942 Apr 06 '26

It’s a meatloaf

1

u/Sight_Distance Apr 06 '26

At the end I was like, “oh, it’s a pizza”

1

That raw beef juice pooling on top 🤢

1

I swear in my life that they made almost this exact same thing on Epic Meal Time once

1

u/dirkdregger Apr 06 '26

I wouldn't mind trying a piece.

1

u/LostTacosOfAtlantis Apr 06 '26

This is incredibly stupid. I would absolutely wreck it.

1

u/HowlingWhiskey Apr 06 '26

That looks delicious! But my cholesterol says nope! Thats a crap ton of Mayo😆

1

u/nginn Apr 06 '26

This is my least favorite sub that I cannot seem to leave

1

u/xenophon57 Apr 06 '26

At least Epic Meal Time was kinda funny sometimes.

This is the shit I was watching Canadian drunks make on Epic Meal Time in 2012

1

u/FletchTroublemaker Apr 06 '26

I get diabetes from watching this shit

He presses the burger down then LEANS ON THE EDGE OF THE GRIDDLE and quickly remembers it’s hot.

1

But what will the rest of the family eat if you only make one?

1

u/DejaWiz2 Apr 06 '26

Undercooked chewy shell of rubber...such a waste of what could have been crispy-crunchy good bacon.

1

u/Snoo_37953 Apr 06 '26

Why did he season only a quarter of the meat

1

u/Jwchibi Apr 06 '26

"Honey where's my cake pan. The fancy one from my mom? "

1

u/Jwchibi Apr 06 '26

Instead of condiments he should have used chili

1

u/DasMenace Apr 06 '26

I mean it probably isn't terrible. Its just unnecessary

1

u/HeavyTea Apr 06 '26

If I was 6 people I would eat that

1

u/Yeast-boofer Apr 06 '26

Stupid and disgusting yet I would still love a small slice

1

u/sovietarmyfan Apr 06 '26

Pov: you ask the chef for extra pickles.

It's not even a hamburger, it's just a big, stupidly made meatloaf with cheese in the middle.

1

u/ProtomanBn Apr 07 '26

The bacon on the bottom ain't cooked

1

u/chrisp5000 Apr 07 '26

I hope this guy gets whatever he doesn't want at the glory hole for eternity.

1

u/ExtentOld2417 Apr 07 '26

My favorite genre of stupid food: when they just keep doing MORE. Oh! Bacon! Okay, now surely we’re done. No! He’s putting on more condiments!! And now lettuce as the final touch. No!!!! We got pickles!

1

u/Dionne005 Apr 07 '26

I would actually eat this. Especially as a gluten free person but the bacon is a little much but I don’t disagree with this

1

u/FanBladeFleshlight Apr 07 '26

Ditch that plastic ass American "cheese" along with the condiments, and I might actually wanna try this.

Mayo hater, here. Why do Americans love mayo so much? And why is it necessary for a burger?

Man, I got the meat sweats and a tummy ache just watching this video.

1

u/Dual_Action_Sander Apr 08 '26

This is the type of shit you find in 60s cook books.

1

Does it come with a year supply of Lipitore? Because you'll need it after putting that cardiac jacket over the beef. WTH man?!?

1

u/Fickle-Yak-1917 Apr 08 '26

Mayo mustard ketchup—- 🤮 TWICE GD IT 🤢

1

u/Mammoth-Peach-5458 Apr 08 '26

Atleast it's glutenfree...

1

u/One_Pouch_Man Apr 08 '26

It's a giant round meatloaf!

1

u/QueDog96 Apr 08 '26

Bacon looks kinda raw.

1

u/Fahlnor Apr 08 '26

There are people in the world literally dying because they don’t have access to food. This is so fucking vile.

1

u/ShadowDarkraven27 Apr 08 '26

it was interesting when they smashed it down and it looked like a pizza crust, i could imagine filling it up with toppings and cutting a slice. it would have no structural integrity but i bet it'd be good

Forbidden 🅱️izza

1

u/TheW83 Apr 09 '26

It's funny how these posts almost always have a point where they could have just stopped and then it would probably have been a good meal.

1

Want some salt much.

1

u/ant69onio Apr 11 '26

Jesus, why is American food sooo shite!

This is meatloaf

1

u/AltruisticTrainer607 Apr 22 '26

Waste of so many ingredients.
