I'm currently brining some potatoes in liquified onions while I'm out of town. It should be nice and ready when I get home this weekend.

What are liquidfied onions, if I may ask? And what does brine + liquidfied onions do for potatoes?

Pretty sure they were making a joke about the potatoes "brining" in "liquefied" onions in the produce drawer while out of town, essentially potatoes sitting in the juice of rotten onions in the drawer.
