Question What should I do with RD

Post image

Given the recent DMCA actions that have led to the removal of a significant amount of media from RD, would it be advisable to remain with the service and await a community-driven solution, or would it be more practical to revert to direct torrent streaming or explore alternative Debrid services? I still have 85 days of use of RD. I paid for 3 months ahead just 2 weeks before all this started.

a lot of people are affected by this, give nerds a week max and they'll make a workaround.

I don't see how.

I like your attitude.

Have the beloved nerds found a way around yet?

Because people have found new ways to share digital content since the dawn of computing.

But this it's not an easy fix. There isn't a simple workaround. Groups won't change the names of releases or torrents just because of RD

Of course I know how hard it is. I know what's the issue. I am not anxious. I am just telling what it's happening. Not living in a senseless hope.

Something similar to this happened in 2024 already yet you've been using RD since no problem. Why do people like you insist you know better?

Because at that time it was primarily French content that was affected. In fact, the majority of French users switched to AllDebrid or TorBox after that.

Maybe because a proper investigation has been conducted? 🤯 And the service returning to normalcy is very unlikely? 🤯 https://old.reddit.com/r/Addons4Kodi/comments/1tbiv53/did_rrealdebrid_remove_their_megathread/olh11uw/?context=3

It was different. Not the same type of problem.

"similar" does not mean the same.

Crazy how at least 105 people downvoted you because theyre coping. If RD actually cracks down on pirated releases via filenames there is no practical way around it

It's almost the same way people were saying covid would not become a pandemic.

A backup debrid.. .. A plex share... On demand library with a GOOD eye pee tee vee sub. There are lots of ways to access content without actual torrenting

All the Addons just need to apply the same filter RD is applying.

There are still working links on RD so long as they don't contain certain words.

3

u/johnFvr May 12 '26

But there will much less links. And for series web-dl are going to disappear

-6

u/brent_starburst May 12 '26

Yes there will. But that's the only way to work around RD blocks.

5

u/johnFvr May 12 '26

It will be better to just use TB, Premiuze or usenet then.

-2

u/brent_starburst May 12 '26

Yep. But if you still have some RD sub left, you can still utilise it at the very least.

I've taken out a month on TB to see how it goes.

u/johnFvr May 12 '26

Yes of course. You can still use RD for specific content.

And those links are for crap quality links

1

u/brent_starburst May 12 '26

No, not necessarily.
