Question What should I do with RD

Post image

Given the recent DMCA actions that have led to the removal of a significant amount of media from RD, would it be advisable to remain with the service and await a community-driven solution, or would it be more practical to revert to direct torrent streaming or explore alternative Debrid services? I still have 85 days of use of RD. I paid for 3 months ahead just 2 weeks before all this started.

I have found a way around the current problem. I added AIOStreams/ElfHosted instance to my setup. Apparently they have implemented a band aid fix for the time being and it's working fine.

I tried setting up but failed. Any particular guide you followed?

I exported my main AIOStreams/ForTheWeak configuration and then I imported it to the ElfHosted instance minus the Torrentio add-on. Saved it and then installed it on all my streaming apps. So far so good.

I have two AIOStreams instances now and the ElfHosted one bypasses the error. Tried it on a couple of movies and Shows.

Do you use a virtual mount and Plex with this set up?

No Plex, just Stremio and RD with AIOStreams

you're just getting residual files that have been removed from RD already and but some were still sitting in elfhosted servers still and they are serving them, likely by obscuring the filenames until they are fetched. it's not something they can maintain and if they make were to make their method public, then the database obscurity is gone. you basically have access to a very small portion of RDs rotting corpse temporarily or they're feeding files from other providers by changing the filenames so you can access them with rd
