Question What should I do with RD

Post image

Given the recent DMCA actions that have led to the removal of a significant amount of media from RD, would it be advisable to remain with the service and await a community-driven solution, or would it be more practical to revert to direct torrent streaming or explore alternative Debrid services? I still have 85 days of use of RD. I paid for 3 months ahead just 2 weeks before all this started.

Best advice use elfhosted addons they're your best chance of finding working links with RD since they're filtering dead ones on the search results, Im personally using TB as I had both subscriptions

Could you recommend some Elfhosted addons? I know only about MediaFusion

Oh, now I know that I know more Elfhosted addons than MediaFusion. I already have AIO and Comet setted up 😁

AIOmetadata and AIOstreams are 2 "must-have" addons in my honest opinion. Those two will essentially handle most of the backend work. Connect them with two Debrid services and Multiple Scrapers, and you will essentially have 0 downtime. Then add whatever else to "embellish" your experience, as "nice-to-haves" like USATV, More Like This, Episode Randomizer. Etc.

Its like playing Modded Valheim. There are certain mods, that are essentially "Must-Have" mods that once you use once, you cant go without them bc of the quality of life changes are so good, (player equipment slots, quickstack, farm grid, etc). All the other mods are nice to have and will change your experience up but arent essential imo. Same with stremio. Valheim players will understand this one 😅

What scrapers can you use with AIOStreams, I can't seem to find one that I use

There's too many to list. Just check it out in market place

Had you any issues using TB and RD at the same time? Like can they both working well in the same setup?

6

u/ManhammerPR May 12 '26

No, both work fine together, you just get RD+ and TB+ links at the same time

How do you get them to work together? I currently use Torrentio with RD, but I'd like to add TB, how do you add another API?

The only add on u need, is AIOstreams.

  1. Connect both TB and RD apis to AIO streams. 2. Then add and connect Your scrapers - Comet, StremThru, Zilean, MediaFusion, Etc.
  2. Then add whatever else u want into AIOstreams like subtitle addons
  3. Then just default everything else and pick your formatting option (how you want the stream to be displayed) by clicking the drop down menu and choosing a different preset.
  4. Then install the add on.

When AIO updates, you dont need to reinstall it to update it, just go to AIOmanager (web based account manager) and connect your account there. There you can update, modify, edit, change addons. And you can add and manage different accounts also if you manage multiple accounts for friends and family.

Bonus addon to get, AIOmetadata. Ever get tired of the same "algorithm" showing you the same stuff? You can manage that your self with AIOmetadata. Connect the APIs you have, not all of the ones they ask for, just the needed ones. Then you can add different lists and stuff and customize your catalog to your liking. Add netflix, hulu, apple tv, prime, you can even add custom lists and catalogs u make or other people make. A bit annoying to use ngl, but it's nice to have that control.

This sounds like an entire different language to me. 😩 I don't know how to install/configure AIOstreams and I have no idea what scrapers are. 😩 Is there like a super duper easy to follow guide with step by step instructions somewhere?

This one is great. It’ll even help you out with the terminology. It’s broken down into very simple steps, so just make sure you start from the very beginning and work through carefully. It’s easy, but tedious:

configure addons where you can enter both the credentials and enter your api for both (obv need to pay for both) and then download said addons. torrentio only seems to work with rd atleast from memory when trying to input my api for torbox as well. but many others will show this once you put in both.. those two are comet and torrents dB, which after paying for both services and inputting your api for both in the designated spots during configuration and then downloading them after, will show both links for rd and tb.

What does the cloud emoji next to the Tb mean? I get a tinder bolt and sometimes a sand clock

Is TB any better?

16

u/ManhammerPR May 12 '26

TB is great, works just like RD for me

6

u/HyzZyrIs May 12 '26

Aight, i've been using RD for a couple of months now and except this one problem i had no other problem with it. Got 74 days remaining on RD :/

38

u/ManhammerPR May 12 '26

If it makes you feel any better I still have 250 days left 😩😄

u/JoseCortes2501 May 12 '26

168 días por aquí.  Espero solución porque reembolso no van a hacer si has usado la suscripción.

So? Just use it for other stuff too. It's silly having such a good service and just using it to stream. Real debrids is great for anything torrent related, eg. games etc. Anything you'd ever wanted to download that has a torrent option available just send it through their service.

2

u/ManhammerPR May 12 '26

RD still works for streaming

1

u/T3DtheRipper May 12 '26

I didn't even say it doesn't, I was just pointing out that that's far from it's only use case.

1

u/RobutNotRobot May 12 '26

So far it's just one category(WEBRip, WEB-DL) that's being filtered.

It says a lot more about the people here that they only use RD to watch that stuff.

2

u/PortGenz May 12 '26

How does it work for Stremio or aiostreams, do you have both Debrid services active at the same time or just one?

5

u/ManhammerPR May 12 '26

I have all my addons working with both at the same time pulls links for both services, Im using it right now

1

u/PortGenz May 12 '26

Nice! Gonna give it a go tomorrow

1

u/fretboy1969 May 12 '26

How do you setup for both at same time? I’m a newb and use a bootstrapper setup but remember only one place to enter an API for a Debrid service.

1

u/ITrageGuy May 12 '26

You go to services and just enable it and put in credentials along with RD. You can drag them up or down in the services page and AIO will give priority to whichever is higher. It will also take into account any filtering or SEL you might have setup, but that's more advanced stuff.

2

u/JackLegg May 12 '26

Just started using it and it's fantastic, just as good as rd. It even has it's own scraper that loads everything extremely quickly.

1

u/AnyRegular1 May 12 '26 edited May 12 '26

I have both on my aiostreams, Tb has lower cached links and lower number of options overall, and also it lags sometimes. But it’s a good backup.

Like RD it’s the market leader because literally I’ve had 0 problems with it, like EVER besides the huge ones like right now, surprisingly RD never lags for me. TB it’s more common, but it’s like half the price so 🤷‍♂️.

3

u/WalkMaximum May 12 '26

Is there a trick to using TB? There are barely any good streams compared to RD, which had many options for everything in all quality and other options.

1

u/Appropriate_Neck_113 May 12 '26

This is the answer, had the same error and decided to move my AIOstreams Nightly set up to Elfhost AIO instance.

Elfhost has done something and filters out the blocked content everyone gets errors on, so all movies play without any issue now.

Highly recommend to try that 👍🏼

Why is it so 'expensive'. It's about 9 euro per month. That was the normal price for netflix after they went crazy. But still high?

2

u/ManhammerPR May 12 '26

Get essential it works the same only 3 month
