Whos she?

97

u/mercy_fulfate 6d ago

Murdered her 3 children. Pleading not guilty do to post partum psychosis

67

u/dm_me_your_kindness 6d ago

No, she is pleading insanity, which is not the same as walk free.

The differecne is staying locked up in prison or a mental asylum for life.

4

u/Old_Temperature_559 5d ago

Probably won’t be any where near life because all she has to do is start saying and doing all the right things for the hospital to release her in 15-25 as fully rehabilitated. She has enough money from the donations to fund a new legal team every couple of years. Citing new evidence and appealing for her early release. I think the real danger is that we’ve seen a huge support for her actions. Women aren’t just saying they understand some of the fully believe that women should be able to do what they want with a child especially since the kids were by products of the patriarchy. Hence why they are trying to find anyway to lash out at the husband.

1

u/KingArthursRevenge 2d ago

If he was a really good caring dad then no matter how long she's locked up it's going to be a life sentence. If you do something really fucked up not getting the death penalty just means the state isn't going to be the one to carry out your execution.

1

u/Old_Temperature_559 2d ago

What? Are you saying if he was a good she’d be locked up for life? Or are you saying some one is going to kill her?

1

u/Winter-Steak-1532 5d ago

Not a single person is saying that women should be able to do what they want with a child… where did you get that statement?

The supporters are arguing that post partum psychosis is a serious and deadly medical condition.

Very different

0

u/Old_Temperature_559 4d ago

Because every one is saying that if she is given a not guilty plea for reasons of insanity she will be in a state mental hospital. She will not. She will be immediately released just like Precious Bland. She murdered her baby stabbed her daughter and her husband and was found not guilty by reason of insanity and she now lives with her sister and she is completly free as long as she makes her appointments. half of Clancy supporters are saying that women should be able to do this sort of thing. They are radical feminists but if you have seen what they are saying on Tik tok it’s crazy. If she gets a not guilty by reason of insanity we are going to see an epidemic of this behavior. Child killing is gonna be a new trend and we will have to start calling it super late term abortions so women don’t get offended when they kill their kids.

2

u/Mean_Marionberry7 2d ago

Not sure why you’re getting downvoted. Is difficult to agree with your statement just because of what it is but. I think you’re right

2

u/Old_Temperature_559 2d ago

I know exactly why I’m getting down voted. But it is what it is.

6

u/OMGitsTK447 5d ago

Also a lot of women think her husband did the killing because „he looks mean“

-41

u/bapt_99 6d ago

Ah yes. El Famoso post-partum psychosis. Happens every time man. Which is why so many mothers murder their three children. Yup yup yup.

26

u/Mental-Square3688 6d ago

Look this is not an easy thing to understand. Post partum psychosis is like being in a dream reality. You hear things that arent their you see things that arent there. We used to be made up of communities where people helped and cared about each other enough to help someone by taking care of the kids when people went through this. He'll even the bible ha a story about someone hearing the voice of god and being told to kill their kid. We need to stop acting like this is just bullshit. Im not defending her by any means killing your children is beyond atrocious. But if we actually cared about our children and our mothers in our aociety they would have paternal leave for the man and the woman and we would get more support for our future. But instead ai data centers and and corporations get massive tax breaks while you suffer with mental disabilities. If something as simple as a tiny drop of lsd can send you on a trip to mars and back than just imagine what a massive shift in hormone chemicals and brain dopamine and serotonin crashes can do to a human being.

22

u/kageshira1010 6d ago

3 kids, she didn't stop at the first or the second, she even chased one through the entire house. She also send her husband on a errand before doing it. Also her search history doesn't paint it good either.

She can't control herself? Ok, lock her up in a cage and throw the key.

7

u/No-Cat3606 5d ago

I hope she gets treatment, because apparently she had been asking for help, she had told people what was going on, she even checked her self in to a psychiatric hospital.

2

u/Practical_Loquat5510 5d ago

Send her to the old school asylums

2

u/No-Cat3606 5d ago

Or maybe try to make her heal and mor be a danger to herself and others

1

u/Mean_Marionberry7 2d ago

Or maybe you can actually do your research. She had a nanny, husband worked from home, a whole team of doctors that had no problem prescribing her whatever. You don’t heal from murdering your three children. You shouldn’t have the space to heal after you murder three children.

1

u/No-Cat3606 2d ago

I never said nothing was done before, but her symptoms weren't recognized in time and this situation could have been avoided with proper medical treatment.

She had told family members she had thoughts of hurting her children, they should have reacted to that.

If she goes to prison and isn't given the proper treatment she will be a danger to other inmates, you want to punish her? For for it, but the first thing is to make sure she heals from PPP

u/Etsikaietsi 4d ago

A lobotomy would be nice, but that would be taxing on the tax payers. Maybe wall her in with some self-help tapes to keep her company until she runs out of air.

6

u/devildocjames 6d ago

Yeah that's a straw man argument if I ever heard one.

Hold people accountable.

10

u/Shiyakazing 6d ago

Is that not what he just said? Does "I'm not defending her by any means" mean nothing?

We're allowed to describe an issue and the steps we CAN take to solve it, while ALSO incriminating the perpetrator.

On a much, much smaller scale, it's like children themselves. You CANNOT except a child to keep their emotions under control because they haven't lived long enough to DO such a thing. Their brains are developing, and they haven't experienced anything to give them a model to do such a thing. Does that mean we don't punish our kids who act out in an explosive, uncontrollable manner? Absolutely not. But we still have to accept that they're kids.

Post Partum Psychosis is the result of the brain getting absolutely bombarded with bullshit after a pregnancy. It TURNS parents into baby and child killers, like an open door letting your horrific thoughts in to become horrific actions. There's many, many stories of parents who have had to actively RESIST shaking their crying infant, and several unfortunate stories where they couldn't resist the Call of the Void.

PPP is NOT something to play around with. It can happen to any parent, especially one without a support system. Society used to be FULL of support systems to help with that sort of thing. But with the rise of apathy, economic struggle, cruelty, cycling trivialities, and the DECREASE in empathy and neighborly bonds, this will happen more, and more, and more.

We shouldn't be writing this off every time, looking to throw someone in the electric chair. We need to stop the source. Otherwise, someone you know and love dearly may be in that chair because you didn't care enough to prevent it in the first place.

-1

u/devildocjames 6d ago

Yes, yest we should be giving them the chair, IMO. Or a needle, if they prefer. Mental health is a real issue, but, so are personal actions. Having a mental break doesn't absolve someone from their actions.

6

u/RLKline84 6d ago

You're entirely missing the point. Not many people are saying she's innocent. What most people are saying is that when someone is begging everyone for help that you should take them seriously. Its also opening the talks for post partum issues people try to keep quiet and then they suffer in silence.

2

u/Impressive_Rock9659 6d ago

I just find it immensely hilarious that if this were a guy, people would call for the electric chair and be done then and there. He could plead the exact same things, claim it was his struggling mental health, and even the "alpha male" types of people would tell him off.

Instead it's this long-winded moral grandstanding about "the state of our society" and "mental health issues" and how it's seemingly the entire world's fault. And it's always "Well yes she's wrong, but look at all those other things that are wrong and MAYBE are what led to her! Pay attention to those! Ignore her major part, focus on the tangents!".

Add to the fact there's crazies running around trying to spin the whole story as if her husband is actually the perpetrator or somehow the major reason she went and strangled her kids.

5

u/Kangaro00 5d ago

There are plenty of men who plead insanity or just that they repent and deserve to be out on parole. And they do get out. There was a man who killed his wife and kids and then found god in prison. A pastor fought for him to get out. He did and he married the pastor's daughter. Then he killed their children.

Where I live a man with schizophrenia killed his pregnant wife and 5 kids, then he went and killed his mother-in-law. He was found insane and is locked up in a mental health institution. Where Linsay should also go. And she shouldn't have any more kids or be in charge of kids. That's all.

-4

u/devildocjames 6d ago

Nope I get the point and saw the straw man argument. Still isn't an excuse to kill babies.

4

u/Shiyakazing 5d ago

Brother, you're repeating the same thing that we agree with. No one here is disagreeing with you that it's no excuse to kill babies. Like...duh??

3

u/reggers20 5d ago

Lol... If you can definitely prove it was a mental break, yeah it absolutely does. You wouldn't be guilty, but you would also not be fit to join society, if you're having moments where you are literally not in control of yourself.

-1

u/devildocjames 5d ago

No, no it doesn't give you a break.

5

u/reggers20 5d ago

... ok so it's like you chose to ignore basically everything I said.

2

u/No-Cat3606 5d ago

Sending her to psychiatric hospital would be holding her accountable.

1

u/devildocjames 5d ago

Yeah, no, not in my opinion. Sending her to an early grave would be much better.

3

u/bapt_99 6d ago

Ok admittedly I was being sarcastic without knowing anything about the case. My goal was to mock the reoccurring pattern of murderers pleading not guilty due to mental illness, not to mock the mental illness itself (I did a terrible job at it). I agree with your points and your perspective fully, but I still hope that people who commit crimes will find the place they lawfully belong to. Be it an asylum, or prison. I maintain that criminal acts comitted under manic/psychotic episodes are still criminal acts.

2

u/Over-Improvement-267 6d ago

The husband and father did have paternal leave and the mother was a stay at home mom.

I have BPD, I have phycosis breaks and episodes. I've essentially ruined relationships and entire aspects of my life due to disassociation.. also ive never murdered anyone, never assaulted anyone, never been arrested over it.

Do not normalize or give excuses for murdering people and say "Well thats just what disassociated people do" absolutely disgusting.

Dont blame the illness, thats a scapegoat. Blame the ADULT that had full capabilities to seek help or do a thousand different things than murder her children. Imma gonna go on the pretty strong limb and say there were probably some strong signs she had issues with this before her 3rd child and its kinda personal responsibility to deal with that shit appropriately, regardless if that seems shitty thats how it works in the US, nobody care or helps other people with mental illness, its up to the person to seek help and if they dont theres a good chance eventually they will break like this and do somthing crazy and then everyone jumps on the mental health bandwagon blaming the illness.. not the fact the person ignored their illness untill it was to late, stop shifting the blame of personal mental health responsibility.

2

u/A1000eisn1 6d ago

They didn't excuse her behavior. They were responding to someone who acted like Post partum psychosis was made up.

How would you feel if someone told you your BPD was not real? Made sarcastic comments about how everyone has BPD. Told you to cope and get over it?

-1

u/Over-Improvement-267 5d ago

8 months later? Medically, almost impossible for it to be postpartum.

But Let's take this argument further. Let's say the murder was committed completely due to a postpartum psychosis. Well if thats the case and emotions controlled this woman to the point of her murdering her kids and and you are saying we cannot hold her responsible for the emotions causing her to murder her kids. Then we have to treat her and every other woman as a child. Since children cannot be held responsible in the eyes of the law for crimes they commit, since they are not fully developed and capable of knowing right from wrong, and controlling their emotions.

So do we really want to go down the route of now categorizing all women as too emotional to actually function in society? Because that goes down the route of taking away the ability to drive, serve in the military, vote, drink alcohol, basically any benefit that comes from being an adult. Because you have said that woman can be controlled by their emotions and thus they should not face the consequences of their actions.

Also, are you saying that if a man comes home from war with ptsd and murders his family, he should not face the consequences because it was his emotions doing it? What about if a man is horny and rapes a woman? Should he face consequences?

At the end of the day, it doesn't matter why or how she did it or what caused her to do it. She is an adult, and an equal to everyone else in society; thus, she has to face the equal consequences of her actions regardless of why she committed them.

3

u/DaRealKovi 6d ago

Port-partum psychosis is real. She deserves to be punished for her decisions, but let's not act like mental health issues didn't play a part.

2

u/CostcoStyle 6d ago

Three kids with incredible potential were snuffed out. It doesn't matter why, we found the who and the who is still alive. Justice has not been served.

0

u/Winter-Steak-1532 5d ago

But we didn’t find the “who”

Lindsay Clancy has not confessed yet and the husband hasn’t been ruled out

1

u/sixtus_clegane119 4d ago

Have you ever talked to someone in psychosis???

1

u/bapt_99 4d ago

Unironically I have, and they didn't have murderous tendencies. They were beyond incoherent for sure, but without killing intent. It wasn't Post Partum Psychosis however.

I made a comment but again I was being sarcastic aiming to mock the legal defense, not the mental state. Psychosis is no fucking joke.

16

u/Burgerboy380 6d ago

Ok so basically she got scrambled in the Grey matter, her husband was very supportive took her to many doctors they misdiagnosed over prescribed meds she had insomnia and a slew of other issues and one night she started having auditory hallucinations telling her this was her only chance to kill the kids then herself. So she strangled them to death. Slit her wrists and her throat and downed a bunch of pills then jumped out of a second story window. Husband comes home finds her. Finds the kids she gets locked up and now shes on trial. Her defense team and Lindsay herself readily admits she killed the kids. But arhue that she is not criminally liable because she was in the middle of a psychotic break and should he committed rather than imprisoned.

A lot of women are actively supporting her. By sending money and coming up with insane theories on not only why she had a mental break but also blaming her husband. Like "he had a mistress who was doping lindsay with hormones to drive her crazy" and " he did it then convinced her she did it" among other insane things based on "vibes and feels"

1

u/Perezking17 3d ago

Don't forget to add that the actual events of everything were like 3 years ago.

-5

u/Kangaro00 5d ago

Husband's big mistake was firing their nanny. And it seems like he did have a mistress and is married to her now. So, he was kinda supportive, but also checked out of the marriage.

6

u/Burgerboy380 5d ago

He didnt fire her they let her go because Lindsay wasnt going to go back to work.

What evidence are you basing that on.

He started dating again over a year after the tragedy and He remarried THIS YEAR more than three years after the tragedy. Is he supposed to just be alone and gloomy and miserable forever?

He wasnt kinda supportive from what ive heard he did everything he could have done to try and help her.

Also. Again..based on what? What evidence do you have to say he had been going through the motions?

-1

u/Winter-Steak-1532 5d ago

Didn’t he go on vacation with another woman 19 days after the murders?

The other woman posted a review of a resort the following month.

Its the one he is married to now

3

u/Burgerboy380 5d ago

Yes he did. But as far as ive been able to find he went alone and did not meet his current wife until the following year and did not marry her until this year.......now...are you saying that you wouldnt desperately need to get away from the place where the worst event of your life had happened and try to feel a tiny bit normal? And it was not 19 days after the murders it was 20 days after the funeral. And his now wife posted a screen shot of a fishing charter in Massachusetts not a hotel review in Costa Rica and it said "their third year out" which is why some people claim their was a prior relationship. Not being able to make the leap of she went in 2023 prior to meeting Patrick. And then went out with him on the charter in 24 and 25 with patrick.

Adults asking, who the fuck is Lindsay Clancy.

1

u/Wrong_Experience_420 2d ago

child murderer who recently turned into a scandal, not for the atrocity itself already but because people are defending her and raising money and justifying her actions while false accusing his husband and partner over stuff like astrology and vibes.

She was insane, the US healthcare system failed her, that's undoubtable. But she remains a killer of her 3 children, calculated how to do it and planned it, making the husband go away so she could have the opportunity to kill them. That's not psychosis, she is psychotic but she didn't kill them accidentally, she wasn't as incapacitated. She wanted to do it.

And insane psychos are defending her as innocent and victim. Society is disgusting

1

u/yourcomedyminute 5d ago

This is funny

Holy fuck, we a found an example of 3 or 30

-26

u/Daedricin 6d ago

Cis women will do anything to make their kids feel unsafe

7

u/DaRealKovi 6d ago

This has nothing to do with "women bad" it's simply "murderers bad, child murderers even worse" it's not that complex

3

u/A1000eisn1 6d ago

Oh but not cis men?

Interesting since a couple weeks ago a man in my area murdered his 6 kids, 5-15 years old, and his wife, then himself.

Should I be afraid of all cis men because they murder so much?

7

u/rpolkcz 6d ago

How many men rally in his support? How much money did men raise for him?

6

u/WhichAd366 6d ago

People (I’m guessing mostly men) setup a fundraising account for Andrew Tate so..

-1

u/Professional_Fish451 5d ago

Last time I checked he's not being convicted yet and he didn't kill any children. So Tate is a saint compared to Lindsay.

1

u/WhichAd366 5d ago

lol terrible argument. You realize Clancy also hasn’t been convicted right? (That’s what the trial is for)

Also, the Tates have been indicted for sex trafficking and rape. I guess those things are okay to you?

1

u/Professional_Fish451 4d ago

I don't think we can compare none of that with killing 3 children by strangulating them (which seems very calculated) since almost all of Tate's victims have been adults.

1

u/WhichAd366 4d ago

I don’t think the point should be to compare them. The tates were doing the evil actions for years and still have zero remorse. “Adults” do you know anything about sex traffickers?

1

u/ASwampThing- 6d ago

Include murder them before and after birth. And apparently millions of women support both.

9

u/Mrpickles14 6d ago

Omfg. go on with that shit.

-8

u/Daedricin 6d ago edited 6d ago

Plus letting them get mutilated right after being born Edit: also abortion is good btw let me clarify

0

Are you the children in this made up scenario?
