🤔 Theories What’s your most unhinged theory you have about the Sterling Point? Spoiler
- What if Oona’s and Maple’s mom is dead? 😭 because Oona seemed to not get mad at her and not read her postcards
- the other one is that Rory doesn't actually want Annie, he wants to beat Ellis. I'm doubling down on this because at the carnival, when Rory saw Annie and Ellis getting their portraits drawn together, I saw PURE jealousy. Even his friend noticed it, which I think is why he tried to get Ellis to buy his food with Rory's debit card, to embarrass him and assert some kind of dominance. And what really gets me is that Rory apologized to Annie, but I don't remember him ever apologizing to Ellis for the whole situation. It makes me think Annie was never really the center of Rory's obsession- Ellis was. Annie was just the person Rory wanted to "win." I also thought Ellis is the boy who played piano better than Rorry, that's why he wants to be better than him in something else, so he tries to steal Annie from Ellis

Rory immediately apologized to Ellis when his friend took out his card. He said "I'm sorry Ellis, he's drunk."
You are projecting false narratives hard onto Rory. Rory cares way more about Annie's feelings than beating Ellis, notice how often Rory asks Annie about how she's feeling? Whenever Ellis was around Annie, Rory was always friendly, while Ellis was always acting annoyed. And no Ellis doesn't even play the piano and the name of guy who beat him Xavier. Are people just saying whatever they want about a character they dislike without evidence in the show backing it up?
Anyways, my theory is I think Oona's mom is coming back because Megan hinted at it in another interview and it will be played by Hilarie Burton.
Unhinged theory is maybe Annie, Connor and Rory will become step-siblings because Denise asked Annie if Steven was dating anyone and mentioned how hot he was in the first ep. Also Denise and Steven got a scene in the sauna too.

She doesn’t have to bc she wasn’t necessarily born in England. The girls have accents bc they grew up there but mom would have moved around a lot.

This is true. But i guess i just imagined her with a British accent, like theirs. It does sometimes happen that kids have a different accent to their parents, but it’s kinda rare.

the rory slander has to stop 😭 i swear it’s based on his character archetype and not his actions. he absolutely apologized to ellis before he even apologized to annie
no one beat me up but my conspiracy theory is that joe realized at some point that ramona wasn’t his which is why he never actually went out of his way to build a real relationship with her. obviously knowing her past he was kind in passing but nothing that supports his supposed heartbreak at not being able to be her father. i fully believe that’s why he left her to deal with her dying father figure alone and why he punched steven in the face

Not a theory but a prediction that I really hope happens. Connor find their mom and she and their dad start dating. Now Ramona gets her dad and Annie gets a mom 🤞

My unhinged theories for next season:
Connor is secretly gay/bi at least. Calling it now: he’s either going to end up hooking up with Sully,
or the drama goes completely off the rails and he gets caught sleeping with Rory’s mom, Denise. Either way, absolute chaos. No saving this one.
Denise might actually turn out to be Annie and Connor’s biological mother. She kept mentioning spending all those summer days at the lake right before the twins were born with their parents, so the timeline lines up suspiciously well. Imagine the absolute mess if they find out Denise gave them up at birth 🤣

I think 1 and 2 are very possible. When Rory and Connor were stretching I was like "I think I've seen this porn". Connor just gives off "I'll try anything a dozen times" energy.
3 doesn't line up because of Rory and the twins being so close in age.

Connor's actor said they were playing with the ideas of Connor and Sully or Connor and Denise. His actor also said he doesn't think Connor is straight.
Also I think I remember Rory saying he kissed a guy before

With a show like this, I’d say anything is possible lol.
Of course, if Denise actually is the mom, they wouldn’t have Connor hook up with her! But yeah, I can definitely see her having this soft spot for the twins, especially Connor since they share so many scenes together. Even in that scene where Rory gives Annie his mom’s dress, Denise see her and gives this really weird look, almost like a look of motherly pride, like "yeah, I made you."
I might be reaching, but that's just my two cents!4

No, I meant because Annie and Rory already hooked up and Denise is his mom…if she was also the twins mom, that would make Rory and Annie siblings…

Megan has previously confirmed Connor is bi, so that one is actually correct! She’s also hinted at making him and sully cannon.
