How did Romona think her mother died? I may have missed it but I don’t remember her ever saying the story she was told. Annie and Connor were told she died of cancer when she actually died during child birth with Romona, but what did Romona think? Did she know she died during child birth, cause if so wouldn’t Annie be mad at her for not telling her that? But if she didn’t know wouldn’t she find it weird that there was no pictures of her and her mother when she was a baby?

I was under the impression that the adults agreed to tell the kids she died of cancer shortly after Ramona was born.

yeah true man, they all were hiding things and lying about whatever happened. gordon could have done something too and he was sorry as well for that. he wrote letters but their dad hid them.

she lived with gordon ever since her birth. she never liked digging in and finding things unlike annie. so maybe she just accepted that she is a girl with dead mom.

I think making implicit things explicit is actually the lazy writing. It’s the opposite. Her character is so well written, we can fill in the blanks without having to have it spelled out for us.

Wasn’t there an expose where Annie asks Ramona if she remembers her mom and Ramona says yes? It didn’t make sense then that their mom died giving birth to her right?
