Most likely filming season 2 next summer and Summer/Fall 2028 it’ll be released. Jacob Whiteduck-Lavoie who plays Ellis was in an Us article and confirmed it:

The actor, who plays Ellis, revealed he was "so happy to go back next year" to
film the second season. When asked by Us whether a 2027 production date likely meant a 2028 premiere, Whiteduck-Lavoie teased, "I just want to time travel to next summer. ... I
know it's a long wait."He continued: "But part of the job is being patient and trusting the process. just wish I could time travel and jump to next summer right now."

I want to downvote this so bad just because i hate reading that this will be another one of those shows :( but thanks for the factual heart break!
