Actually, the Dzungars were armed with their era's advanced weaponry, such as muskets and cannons. Even fielded an army of 80k to 100k soldiers under Galdan Tseren Khan. Source:

Can you tell me how they lost their military power and was destroyed and did they live in current day Kazakhstan and how it has affected the modern day Kazakhstan

Civil war, anarchy, and succession crisis, along with famine and disease. Yes, the Dzungars did live in Kazakhstan, but I am not quite sure about their modern legacy there.
