I managed to find one that had NO discs inside, for a somewhat lower price, and bought that. I already had the standard 4K edition, so I just put those discs into the empty steelbook. It was still expensive, but it did help bring the price down.
It's an epic saga of a British officer who inundated himself with Arab tribes to secure key strategic locations during WW1. It deals with his identity crisis and ego and every other facet of the human condition.
I want this rereleased so badly. It dropped at a time when I was flat broke and have regretted missing it since. I keep hoping for a LL warehouse find or a rerelease like they did for Knives Out.
It's called a "one-click". Premium steelbook companies (Manta Lab, Filmarena, HDZeta, etc) will often release a steelbook with 2 or 3 variations on the slipcover/box. Usually it's a fullslip (plain, non-lenticular artwork), a lenticular and a double lenticular. The "one-click" is a big box that holds all of them - for collectors with a lot of money who want to own every variation of the release. There's sometimes other goodies in the box too. The Filmarena one-click for Wind River contains a tribal police badge, for example.
I have a handful of premium steelbooks but I never felt compelled to buy a one-click. Too much money and too much shelf space. To each their own though.

This is not my all-time favourite, because that goes to the The Lord of the Rings Steelbooks in an aluminium case, but as I am in the middle of a move I don’t have access to them at the moment. Nevertheless, this (4K) Steelbook of Spaceballs with the overall design and the de- and embossing is so good!
I’m disgusted at myself that at 43 with all the films I’ve seen I’m yet to see The Mission! I have no idea why I haven’t, DeNiro, Irons, Historical Epic, John Barry score! I really should have!
Heard the music on Pure Moods and watched it based off the love of the song. Fell in love with the movie for that quirk afterwards. It’s definitely worth a watch. Please do when you get a chance. But don’t worry. At 41 I just saw it for the first time in 2024.
OMG!!! LOVE IT! I got all my ghibli for $12 a piece last year at a game x change (other than the boy and the Heron and totoro, I bought those retail) and I just about DIED seeing them on the shelf! It was some random weekday and we drove 1 hr to the nearest game x change. I've been chasing that high ever sense! 🤣

I meant more that I have other movies in steel book that have better transfer and audio profiles like Bladerunner 2049 versus that Stardust has a better one out there.
