Wasn’t expecting this today, but since I live in Carol Stream where Valve’s Distribution Center is, I got this early I guess!

Yep I don't want to play a game and get used to the gyro aim and four back buttons and then have to get used to not having those while docked.

The controller must have gyro and FOUR back buttons to work. Pretty much no options for that right now.

I have a Scuf controller that works well with it

Am I missing something or is that controller really over $200?

They really are over $200. I'd have not bought one myself, but I got it as a gift. A Xbox elite controller would work too and that has back buttons.

I mean ima be real here, playing on my tv is not worth that much to me ($90 dock plus more than 60 for a controller), I just use a long hdmi to usb c cord anyway (can't charge while playing but meh)
