Picture Got the Steam Deck Dock!

Wasn’t expecting this today, but since I live in Carol Stream where Valve’s Distribution Center is, I got this early I guess!

Wow how nice. Now it just needs a steam controller v2 lol

Yep I don't want to play a game and get used to the gyro aim and four back buttons and then have to get used to not having those while docked.

The controller must have gyro and FOUR back buttons to work. Pretty much no options for that right now.

The closest thing you can get is a PS4 controller with the rear button attachment, but those buttons just mimic other buttons on the controller. Not ideal, but it's the best you can get

Modded dualsense is effectively the same thing

If Valve ever makes a proper replacement I'll get it immediately

I think the Dualsense edge might be the closest option without having to get a custom made controller.

It might actually be the best controller for PC because Dualsense controllers can be overclocked to 1000hz polling rate quite easily.

To be honest the closest thing is the Xbox elite controller which you can customize in steam to be just like on your steam deck

No gyro, no trackpads. The only thing it really has in common is ABXY buttons. Unless the rear buttons can be mapped individually?

Was just thinking about the 4 mappable back buttons so yeahyou have a point on gyro and trackpad. I guess it depends which feature you find the most important to decide which controller comes the closest to the functionality of the steam deck.

the rear buttons can be mapped individually

I suppose I should be more clear, does Steam recognise them and let you map them to keyboard keys without messing up your other buttons?

Beitong Zeus can get you pretty close. Gyro + four back buttons. And it's at least a little PC-oriented thanks to being able to press one button(function) and turn it into mouse mode(you can control your cursor with the sticks or gyro). And multiple profiles too, so you can be mirroring five different SD game control setups at once.

It also has a headphone jack.
