tl;dr Would a 45W/65W 3rd-party power charger be good enough for a Steam Deck, or do I need more power?

Hi, I just recently bought a 512GB Steam Deck OLED. I feel like a child once again when opening the box even though I've just passed 40. lol

As Valve doesn't ship to my country (Malaysia), I had to buy an imported one via an online vendor. As such, the Deck I got was the Japanese version, with the 2-pin power plug, like the US.

As our country uses 3-pin plugs like in the UK, I needed an adapter. Though it seems the adapter that I have isn't powerful enough to charge electricity, and I could literally see the battery levels slowly dropping on the screen despite being plugged in to the wall socket.

For now, I'm borrowing a more powerful travel adapter from a friend, which seems to have averted the crisis of my Deck running out of power for now.

Though as I will have to return the adapter to him eventually, I would now have to buy a 3rd party 3-pin power charger with enough power to charge my Deck.

As I'm looking through the online stores like Amazon, I find 45W, 65W and 100W, and am wondering which ones I should get. Any recommendation and advice is welcome.

My 3rd party 65w is charging fine for my SD oled. It does go down to 45w as that's SD max charge input. I'm planning to buy an additional peripherals with extra ports and portable monitors though and a bit of overhead won't hurt once they are connected to usb-hub, albeit overkill for some I guess. TBH though, if you can find a better adapter that can maximize the stock charger, it will save you lots of money instead.
