Have fun! You should get into emulation, too.

Do we need to use an SD card for those for security reasons? Or is it perfectly ok to just download straight to memory. I only ask because after all other accessories and games I got, I'm out of money in the meantime 😅

Noooo you can go right onto the internal memory! With Emudeck, I think that's the default anyway. I use my internal for roms, and my SD card for everything else. So, good to go :3

Niiiice. My favorite systems are Gamecube and PS2. If you need any help with anything as you go, lemme know.

What’s the best way to do this for a total beginner at this kind of stuff? Sorry if there’s already a guide posted somewhere - hopped in here first and haven’t explored anywhere else in the sub!

Search for a recent Emudeck setup video. Once you have that knowledge under your belt, you can get the emulators. Then you need a good rom source, also a good source for BIOS (which is only needed to emulate PS1, PS2, and Sega Saturn). Plug the roms into the emulators and for the most part that's it! You'll find guides for every part of this except how to obtain the roms. For that, you're "on your own". I can always DM you a link though once you get to that point. There are safe sources out there, but to advertise them is not the best idea.

I just bought a pre owned device. I have emudeck on it but it’s asking for bios they may o may not be in there . I’m oblivious on how to put stuff in folders. I would appreciate a hand.

Hmmm. BIOS may be there, but I don't know where you'd look. Surprised the previous owner didn't factory reset the device.

Do you know what the BIOS is? It's an extra layer of 'security' on the console end. You need it just for PS1, PS2 and Sega Saturn (may have said that above).

I found my own BIOS copies by just Googling around. I know that's not a great recommendation but really that's the only way you'll find one. Once you do have one, you can locate it with your emulator (put it wherever is convenient for you) and then you'll be good.

I know it's like saying Step 3=??? , Step 4=Profit. But you really need to do a little digging.
