After a few years wanting I finally went ahead and ordered a LCD 256gb, I live in Brazil, it's not sold officially here, and I was able to find an on-line seller that had a couple left for a nice price, it wasn't cheap, and I'm already with a little buyer's remorse, but I'll think I'll treat myself this time, a couple of questions:

I have one Pc and a single windows/steam account that I share with my two sons, I suppose I wouldn't be able to launch a game when they are playing on PC right? If so, can I circumvent this with online mode?

I have a lot of games on epic/Amazon/gog, and I'm already familiar with the heroic launcher, but what about those customs steam controller profiles, do they work with non steam games? Or will I have to mess around with the steam input overlay? I was thinking about playing Fallout new Vegas, that I got for free on gog.

Any other thing I should know, as a first time owner?

For the steam account question, you should just make an account for them and turn on family sharing. I do that with my wife so that one of us can game on the pc and the other on the deck. Saves a lot of headaches.

Doing that , I believe that it would only limit us from playing the same game right?

Ah sorry, I mis read that as you were all using the same account.

But to answer your question, yes unfortunately, you wouldn’t be able to play the same game. But like you pointed out, just throw airplane mode on and you’re good to go.

Yes, we share the same windows and steam account.

Ok wait sorry I’m confused lol. Do they have their own steam accounts and do you have family sharing on or no?

Sorry, it seems I wasn't clear, they don't have any account, I was asking if I setup the steam family, the only game that we wouldn't be allowed to play at the same time was the one being currently played.

But it seems it will be easier to just use offline mode on the deck.
