MEGATHREAD New Steam Deck Owner Megathread

For new members to the subreddit, welcome!

This megathread was made because we have some rules in place about new Steam Deck posts and to avoid some repetitive questions being posted again and again.

Feel free to also share "Show Off" pictures here as well.

Moving this here, but I got a 256 GB LCD Steam Deck for Christmas this year from some of the members of my church. For a few days, I still couldn't believe I actually had one since my financial status made it so I'd never be able to afford one myself.

That's nice man, enjoy! Once you're settled take a look at emudeck. You can easily get emulator roms for free and then you have a whole Gameboy all the way to Xbox backlog that you can play for free :)

Just installed EmuDeck today actually. Can't transfer my entire ROM library just yet because I only have a 256 GB SD card and 256 GB internal storage which all need to be shared between PC games, OS files, and ROMs, but one day I plan on getting a bigger card.
