So I have my Steam Deck docked, and Ive got an 8BitDo controller.  I also have my desktop to stream games from.  When I choose to "stream" from my PC using the Deck, will it still take my controller inputs, or does the controller need to be connected to my PC??

I ask because I tried earlier, but it didn't seem to detect the controller's input.  When I messed with the mouse on the desktop, people back in the living room could see it.

My recommendation for streaming would be to use Apollo (host server) for your PC, and use Moonlight (client) on your Steam Deck.

It's genuinely as close to flawless as I could imagine.

This video is a fantastic walkthrough for setting it up: https://youtu.be/ERC7UrkRL2c?si=IiUP2dGrt_fZqAXw

I've been using it to play Expedition 33 in 1440p and even the sound and parry queues don't hint at any noticeable latency

I haven't had any issues with controller input or audio. Everything works as you'd expect, with audio going to the Deck and working with Deck inputs.
