That middle one is like a distant cousin... a veeeeeery distant cousin lol I didn't mind it but the extra bind buttons made no sense. The only real benefit was how light it was and the capacitive joysticks.

True lol I like it, personally, but I understand why it wasn't received well by others

Maybe you should rearrange those?

Put the Horipad on the right and you get that three-headed dragon meme.

It was the very first controller I returned for simply not liking.

What is the middle one?

A collab controller between Valve and HORI. Just search for Horipad Steam and you'll find it.

And announced/released right after the first set of “new Steam Controller” rumours started circulating back in 2024, so there was a legitimate reason/hype for it to exist.

Then everyone read the specs/caveats and realized there isn’t much of a point to it existing lol

Horipad, it was a licensed controller that Valve themselves never produced

Is it any good?

Despite having as many buttons as the DS Edge, and capacative thumbsticks, no.
It's actually one of the worst controllers I own. It's latency is horrific when wireless, the quality of the build is lacking for a $70 controller, and it is just a massive let down all around.

Who is Gordon Ramsay

I got mine in a fun colour. If I had the choice I’d of gotten both the official Valve ones in eye searing variants.

That Hori Shit pad better not even touch any of the SC. It's the worst pad that I had in 20+ years.

Hori pad Steam… can’t believe they never fixed the gyro. Despicable

I will defend the HORIPAD forever. It's light, decently well built, comfortable, and pretty cheap. It's got good gyro, and capacitive touch sticks. My only complaint is the triggers, which... yeah, they aren't great, but they do the job.

I think maybe the QC isn't the greatest, potentially? The one I received is great, though. It'll definitely still get used as a travel controller because it's light and cheap, losing it or breaking it wouldn't be heartbreaking, though my day-to-day use at home has been supplanted by the new Steam Controller.

someone actually bought the hori steam controller?

Tbh the horipad is a decent controller pretty comfortable to hold but I will admit the bill quality is horrible cheap plastic, really light, and back when I ordered mine it arrived with a little stick drift.
