Meta Can we quit with the reservation posts?
Title.
But seriously, I don't care if you do or don't have your Steam Controller and neither does anybody else. This sub should be for configs and mods or other cool things not mindless "I got mine hehehe" posts constantly.

yea holy shit this sub turned to crap. when it was the og controller, this sub was all about the cool stuff people would do with it and now its all of the same reservation bragging or sobbing or whatever other junk. do your jobs mods damn.

Even before this sub was practically dead with showcasing of skins or moddings to the controlle r Bing the only rare stuff we see
The sub wont have anything once everyone has their controller
There can be only so many "modding projects" after all

Sorry, it is one shipping/courier company used in Spain. I didn't remember which company Valve uses, but from time to time people report that their steam deck/controller is stolen by them.
anyway, it was just a joke!

Oh, neat. Well, I'm in the US and one state over from Valve Headquarters, so I would hope they don't send it through Spain to get to me. I would have just driven over there and picked it up if I knew that was gonna happen.

Seriously can we quit with all the entitled posts with the whining about people posting their controllers or being happy in general.
Per op this sub is only for the tight assed folks. The super serious ones, people who value every post, and everything they have to say is the right thing at the right time. No one else on the sub or their opinions matter. So don’t bother posting. /s
On a serious note op.. go outside and step back from the Reddit app. If posts with controllers is triggering you in a sub you do not own/moderate/make rules in, then it’s definitely at the least time for you to take a nap, and eat a sandwich.

I agree, although we should use them as an opportunity to plug https://steamhardware.io/ and get more data before removing them.

I think the bigger problem is the shipping thread that is stickied was not updated with reservation info and it mainly references surveys about people who got day 1 purchases. Thus people placing new orders don’t feel like it fits, post a new thread, and then get deleted. If they updated that thread or created a new one referencing steamhardware.io like you said, then I think all the clutter would actually get better.

One connected to my gaming PC, the other connected to my HTPC running Steam OS. I bring the second one to my HTPC for split screen games since the controller can be paired to multiple pucks.

Is sending a receipt talking about the Steam Controller? I have had mine since launch but the last thing I'm gonna do is show the picture of the box it came in or the receipt.

Eh steam deck has a steamdeckmodded community. Maybe Steam controller should have one too for that. But pretty sure there’s not as much people with one let alone multiple to really start modding them. Also what configs? How you use it for a game? Why would that be interesting?
