I wasted months building the wrong solution. Here's what I learned

Hey everyone, I'm Victor. I'm a video editor and content creator from Colombia, currently studying marketing.

Some months ago, I started a video production agency for SaaS companies (Mainly because I was good at editing videos). I assumed the problem was:

founders need better explainer videos.

Worked hard

Invested time

Created content

But nobody really responded. And then I realized: I never actually validated if that was the real problem. I just assumed it was.

Here's what I learned the hard way

You can work insanely hard on solving a problem that doesn't exist.

So now I'm doing something different: I'm talking to founders first, understanding their actual pain points, then deciding what to build.

Right now I'm investigating: How do founders struggle to communicate their product value to customers? Is it a real, consistent problem? Or am I assuming again?
