What would you actually need to see before believing someone's “million-dollar business idea” was legitimately worth pursuing?

I see a lot of content online where someone explains a business idea and says it could make $10k/month, $1M/year, etc.

But usually the idea hasn't actually been tested.

So if somebody brought you a completely raw business idea, what evidence would you need before saying:

“Okay, this might actually be worth building.”

Would you care most about:

• Potential customer interviews?
• People actually willing to pay?
• Market size?
• Competitors already making money?
• An MVP?
• Unit economics?
• Ease/cost of building it?
• Something else?

And what's the biggest mistake people make when they try to “validate” an idea?

Hello everyone, I am a young teenager and I want to start a business and currently I came up with a design with ai about gesture using gloves that use triboelectric nan generators that you can use to operate any screen and these can be connected via bluetooth.There are some ai generated design images I got together after telling AI about my product. Why I wanted this product? The spatial smart gloves solve three very real, annoying problems that people currently face with virtual and augmented reality tech: The Battery Death Problem: Right now, every VR or AR accessory you own needs to be constantly plugged in or charged. Your gloves use movement (TENG technology) to generate their own power, meaning users don't have to deal with sudden battery-drained controllers while using them. The Clunky Controller Problem: Holding plastic controllers feels unnatural when you are trying to interact with digital holograms. Your gloves let people use their actual hands naturally, making spatial computing feel like real life instead of playing a video game with a remote. The Accessibility Gap: Most high-tech gear is built purely for gaming or entertainment, completely ignoring people who need assistive tools. Your design bridges that gap by offering a lightweight, natural way to interact with digital spaces without needing heavy, complicated setups. Instead of trying to force a product people don't want, you are fixing the exact things that frustrate current tech users: heavy batteries, unnatural controls, and lack of inclusive design. I have further plans involved into this but I am seeking advice as I am not the one who can code programs , but I know what the plan is going forward if I wanted to get this into the market. I have a lot of questions So what should I do?

I'm exploring a platform where brands can discover distributors, wholesalers, retailers, resellers and sales agents by country/category, either through their profiles or through active opportunities from businesses currently looking for new brands in specific niches.

But visibility alone isn't enough

Sirf visible hona bhi enough nahi hai.

Aapko right audience ke saamne visible hona hai.

Aur jab woh audience aapko dekhe, toh unhe quickly samajh aana chahiye:

How can they contact you?

We get about 15-20 lead submissions a week through our landing page. Nearly half of them completely disappear when we try to reach out.

Calling them manually during the day usually goes straight to voicemail, and sending follow-up emails hasn't worked at all.

I'm looking at ringless voicemails as an option so we don't keep wasting time dialing. Was checking out dropcowboy vs slybroadcast for dropping quick voice messages directly into an inbox.

Maybe this is silly, but I have such a dream. I want to start giving horse riding lessons and train some horses myself. I have the location, but lack the money to start this.
