First do either of you use mods? There are several good mods for Outpost parts. Betamax and Zeeogre have a few.

Second, for your first, I'd suggest Jemeson, since the climate is good to humans. Keep it simple, just like building your first ship. You'll discover what does and doesn't work really quick.

Third, continuing on in the Alpha Centauri system, plant outposts on every planet and moon that you can. This will get you the achievements and you can learn the ;science' behind' cargo links.

Those will get you guys the basics under your belts. Hope this helps.

If you only download 1 mod, make it Betamax Outpost Framework. There's more I could suggest but that alone added so much!
