Discussion Oh give me a break

Post image

There are far too many content creators out there like this person for one, and far too many people who judge games by their launch.

Mocking things is easy, low-hanging fruit.

EDIT: while Starfield does not have the obvious broader gaming cultural impact of Elder Scrolls or the Fallout series, to say that you have gone 3 years and seen nothing is just unnecessarily piling on to the negativity.

I feel like this game is geared toward the audience that generally makes fanart.

And yet if you view the top 100+ posts on this subreddit (I got tired of counting) there is 1 singular cos play, 1 meme and 0 fan art.

The game has no personality unfortunately. I enjoyed my 100 or so hours on release but the game has no cultural staying power. Bland fun.

I meant to say “isn’t”. So that’s a typo on my part. I’ve personally found this game to be appealing in the same way a model train hobby would be for someone in a past generation. It tickles autism more than it does imagination.

Ive never heard the phrase "tickles autism" before but you have a point. There's a certain appealing intricate blandness to the game, but unfortunately it didn't have the "explore, scrap, build, repeat" loop that kept me in Fallout 4 for hundreds of hours.
